We joined!!!!!

So we did it, DH and I joined DVC on December 4th during our recent trip. The exchange rate for us brits at the moment is fantastic and we got $2.06 to the £. The Animal Kingdom Villas are just wonderful and we bought 180 points which is plenty for us. We even booked next years trip there and then for 170 and have banked 10 straight away.

We've been to WDW 7 times in the last 10 years so it seemed silly not too! We also got a $1400 (£700) incentive reduction.

I own a tiny bit of WDW Whooo Hooooo :sohappy:

Every time we're at disney whenever we walk by a DVC booth my hubby always tells a CM he knows the "secret" and they always say with a smile "Welcome Home".....Oh such a great feeling!! Thanks everyone! We're sooo excited but none of my british friends appreciate what DVC really means, quick question : where is the best place to get DVC merchandise?? I had a look at some of the DVC resorts but there wasn't much. I'm really after luggage tags, I got a key chain at Wilderness Lodge last week though.

Every DVC resort has an area in one shop or another that sells club merchandise. The best way to find a variety of items, however, is ebay. I've obtained many different DVC items that are either vintage (with the 3 mountains) or unavailable in shops.

Welcome Home

Welcome Home...We're members and we love it...you will too. It's a great feeling knowing you own a little part of the world. We can't wait to head back in May for the Flower and Garden Festival. We've already used our points at other places as well...we did New York City this past May for our 26th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Lowes Regency on our points. We also bought discount tickets to a Broadway show (Tarzan) through DVC...the whole weekend was fantastic!:king:

Congrats Pippa! We joined up on our last trip in October. For us, once we saw the what the model rooms were going to be like, it was a done deal. There is nothing like owning a little bit 'o magic.
