Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 ToyotasšŸ˜)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

It was half an hour!! Concourse B row 3. Woohoo! Just love it! We all ate at Sunshine Seasons afterwards. We are all pretty hungry. No pictures. Salmon was good. Living with Land now. 25 minute wait. Test Track has been down all day. Room not ready. An hour and a half to Guardians!! Tick, tick, tick...

I went to the movies by myself to see it when it first came out! All of the kids were so mad at me. I found it to be very dark the first time I saw but I liked it. The second time I saw it in the movies with the family, I loved it!

All we do is say quotes from all 3 GOG movies. Funny story, Den and Cam rented the double seated bicycle to ride around Port Orleans last night. Cam said, he was so embarrassed because whenever people were nearby Den would ring the bell and say, "I am Mary Poppins y'all'. šŸ¤£ Thank heavens I wasn't there!
I agree, it was more emotional seeing it the first time for me too. I think it was because you are a bit on edge worried about what might happen. The 2nd time knowing what happens, I felt the fun in it a lot more! I just love it!

Maybe it is all in the namešŸ¤£ seriously though, so frustrating!

Myself and my youngest bro ate everything Mom ever put on the tableā€¦liver and onions, steak and taters, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, etc, etc., etc.
My middle bro was the picky eater as a kid, but, heā€™s a much more adventurous eater as an adult, funny enoughā€¦!!! :)
We also have a younger sis (12 years younger than I am - Iā€™m the oldest - she started kindergarten the year I graduated HSā€¦!!!!! :hilarious:), and although she was never a picky eater, she never had quite the voracious appetite a couple of her bros didā€¦!!!!! :hilarious: As an example, my Pops financial planner used to visit with him at least 4 times a year at our dining room table in the evening when we were all still in school and at home. The company the financial planner worked for threw him a 30th anniversary party several years ago. In his speech, he brought up his meetings with my Pop. He made a comment about how during all the hours he sat at our dining room table with our Pop, he didnā€™t think he ever saw the fridge door closedā€¦!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:
Iā€™ve eaten everything from rattlesnake, squirrel, and armadillo, to lobster, caviar, and foie gras, and a bunch of stuff in between (as if the first ones I mentioned werenā€™t crazy enough)ā€¦!!!!! :hilarious:

:)Anyway, continuing to follow your great reportā€¦!!!

Couldn't be happier. Unfortunately Brin needs a nap for an hour. I thought she was passed this stage but it seems not. The heat just takes it out of her.

I am doing laundry and this while she sleeps. Cam and Den are swimming. Here are some other pictures of the room. Trust me, I get the theme but I love AKL with the Lion King theme and I was super impressed with Riverside in every way and loved the room theme!!! It feels more Disney to me.

Bottom line, I loved it and everyone else did, too, except Cam who doesn't like roller coasters. He didn't ride. We got the song everybody wants to rule the world. We did wait for about an extra half hour because it broke down right before we were getting on but it was so, so worth it! I can't wait to do it again.

Question for anyone out there... do you have to be in Epcot at 1 pm to try and queue up? I am assuming that you do.

As long as you have tapped into Epcot prior to 1 pm, you don't need to be in the park to try for a BG.

Question for you: Are you staying in Boardwalk Inn or Boardwalk Villas? You room looks different than @ToInfinity 's room (on the Inn side.)
