Trip Report We are GROOT!

Hello friends! Well it has finally arrived and the five of us are packed up and headed to Disney World for a mega trip. We are on the road now and stopping in Columbia, South Carolina for the night. (Max we also have 2 Toyotas)We left a little later than we wanted to because our 2 cats, sensing our departure, escaped outside.

The cast is the same as usual, my crazy Disney family, my husband, Den, my oldest son Hunter, 18, middle child Camden, 11, Brinley, 7 and me, Deighton! Hunter graduated from highschool on June 2 and is doing a year at community College to get his prerequisites out of the way. Our extended trip is his graduation present. (His choice! Who am I to say no.) Plenty of details to come! Happy Thursday everyone! Woohoo!!

I am really surprised they never made it further north. People in Pittsburgh love Sheetz. They would flip over Buc-ees!

I got these swim trunks from the Buc-ee’s in Waller, Texas (near Houston) back in ‘19…who could resist…?!!!!!

Some pictures from a great lunch by everyone's standards except mine. Cam ended up with my meal and I took his. I can honestly say, he was right, this once. His shredded pork was large cubes of dried and fatty meat. I actually sent it back which is a rarity! View attachment 722640

The sent back shredded pork??? More like pork rocks The service was good but not friendly. Probably not one I would do again, anytime soon.

Thanks! I am glad, too. There 2 salsas, a Chipotle and tomatillo, were delicious! Only 5 dollars for chips and salsa. Great Disney deal.

I love GoG too! The new movie was soooo good. We watched it again on the cruise!
Josh and I are big Marvel fans, but this was the first movie we've LOVED in awhile.

Cam is not a good eater and extremely picky. (Drives me crazy). He got mac n cheese and didn't like it but everyone else did. He ate Brin's fries

I love GoG too! The new movie was soooo good. We watched it again on the cruise!
Josh and I are big Marvel fans, but this was the first movie we've LOVED in awhile.

I went to the movies by myself to see it when it first came out! All of the kids were so mad at me. I found it to be very dark the first time I saw but I liked it. The second time I saw it in the movies with the family, I loved it!

All we do is say quotes from all 3 GOG movies. Funny story, Den and Cam rented the double seated bicycle to ride around Port Orleans last night. Cam said, he was so embarrassed because whenever people were nearby Den would ring the bell and say, "I am Mary Poppins y'all'. Thank heavens I wasn't there!

When we got back Brin needed some down time so she and I cuddled up and I fell asleep She played on her tablet. Hunter also chilled. Den and Cam went to 2 pools and rode around Port Orleans. The above post comments shall suffice.

Sorry for lack of pictures. We took a walk to Mardi Griggs to hang out with Shelly and the kids swam for a few hours. Then headed back and had quick service dinner. The kids had pizza which was quite good. Den and I had the shrimp and grits which was good. Where we are located in Alligator Bayou , one of the relax pools is right outside our door! So off all 3 kids went again to swim. I had to walk over at 10 and drag them out. I reminded them that today was, finally, our first park day in Epcot.

I have been up every hour on the hour checking the time. I will be so sad if I don't get GOG but we do have 4 reservation days for Epcot. I will check back in soon. Happy Sunday everyone!
