I loved my stay at the Beach Club. I would be thrilled to be able to stay there again someday. It's so beautiful, along with having a great pool & location.

CR for sure. Nothing is better than a park view from an upper floor. The monorail comes right into the building and you can walk to/from the MK if necessary. I just wish it still had a 24 hour food court like it did years ago.

I've stayed at 3:

Grand Floridian
Polynesian
Wilderness Lodge

The WL was my favourite by far and we'll be going back again next year!

Of where we have stayed here they are ranked:
AKL
SSR
BWV
OKW

We're looking forward to trying out BCV and BLT in September.

I don't like Animal Kingdom (the park) but I adore Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is no better themed resort.

But as far as location - you can't beat Boardwalk. I wasn't "WOWed" by the theming of this resort but the location is AMAZING. Walking to EPCOT and DHS is the best thing about this place. Truly worth the price (IMO) And there is fun night life around the area too!

So for theming - definitely AKL hands down

For location? Boardwalk

If I can only pick one - it's Animal Kingdom Lodge!

My own choice was the Polynesian.....of course that could change if I ever get the opportunity to stay at the Contemporary. For theming and location (of the ones I've stayed at), I have to go with the Poly.....with WL a close second only because it's not on the monorail line.

Yacht Club. It had been many years since my last stay in WDW but I realized last week that as long as it's up to me, I'll stay at YC on every single trip. YC is my happy place. BC is nice too but extremely chaotic, and Boardwalk doesn't do much for me since I'm from NJ and, well, we have boardwalks.

GF is lovely as always, even more beautiful than I remember, but I just love the atmosphere of the Epcot resorts.

Love being so close to WS, love the view of the Boardwalk, love the utter lack of chaos. Yes, there are a lot of conventioneers, but that added to the calm, quiet feeling. I have nothing but deep, probably unreasonable love for YC.

I have stayed @ AKL on several occasions and here are my reasons:
1) so much to do, swimming nice pool, observing the animals etc.
2) best restaurant "group" on property
3) Victoria Falls Lounge, great place to "hang" after a day at the park
4) more secluded away from "all the noise" while still having excellent Disney Theming.

I have not stayed at Grand Floridian, Beach Club, or Dolphin.

My favorite depends upon what I intend to do while at WDW, and also somewhat seasonal. The incredible pool at YC would be a waste if it's only 60 degrees out, so I only stay in hot weather. Plus, my children are grown, so a busy pool doesn't have the same attraction as it once did.

If I plan on spending most of my time at Epcot (F&W) I stay at the Boardwalk or Swan. If MK, I prefer something closer. I like WL because of the nice walking trail.

AKL is still my favorite for overall experience. As @petey mentioned, you really do get away from it all - which is either a plus or minus, depending upon personal preferences.

We've stayed at the Poly, Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin, and Wilderness Lodge among the deluxe resorts and WL has been my favorite. Love the proximity to MK with a hair of distance away, good food, beautiful lobby and greenery/scenery and loved our room. Were staying at AKL for the first time in a few months so maybe that'll top the lost next.

My answer varies as well, depending on the type of trip.

If we are going to want to be away from the parks more, I choose AKL.

If it's an Epcot Food and Wine trip, I choose Beach Club.

If we are visiting for the MK, we love the Contemporary.

I totally agree. That is why I stay at the Beach Club when choosing a Epcot Resort. I really can't choose one as AKL and Beach Club each have their advantages.

Nothing better than walking to Epcot or riding on a Friendship boat. Nothing better than waking up in the morning an see animals roaming outside you balcony at AKL.

Staying at contemporary for the first time in July. So that is definitely #1 for me. Although I am itching to try poly once it is all completed.
