So getting back to the meet up idea.....i think having one around the time of the D23 Expo would be a good.

Quite a few WDWMagic members here go out there for that, as well as the Event attracting a lot of local members from around town.
Seems like the perfect time to do a spur-of-the-moment get together.

Trader Sam's?
Disneyland Park?
Lobby of the Grand Californian..?

It's about these kooky things celebrating Christmas. I don't want to see it at all, but I especially don't want to see it in September and October.

I'm with Endor on this.

One thing i absolutely despise is the pre-X-mas push that encroaches on other holidays before it....mainly my favorite, Halloween!
It drives me nuts that X-mas gets pushed months before it is actually that 'season'.
September and October ARE too early! Even early November pushes my buttons.

Maybe i am just a old git, but i remember a time when X-mas was not even on people's radar until AFTER Thanksgiving.
You never saw X-mas stuff in the stores, or heard people even talking about it until then.
Now stores such as Hallmark start pushing it as early as July, with the real retail push starting nationally in late September!
Crazy...!

I always enjoy it as well but I really wish it would be there for less than 4 months. Would be great if they did it just for November/December as despite all the pumpkins outside, it always felt more like a Christmas ride than Halloween. It's just a bit of a bummer to have the real HM gone for a third of the year.

I don't mind the amount of time it spends in the Mansion. Maybe it's because I was like eight years-old when HMH debuted and it was the best thing ever to me at the time and I've loved it since. In saying that, I wouldn't mind if it lasted from November to December. It'd feel weird to me, though.

Disney loves HMH because of the merchandise sales. Just look at what they've been doing for classic HM merchandise lately. They're clearly attempting to replicate the Nightmare merchandise sales. The closest thing classic HM has is Hatbox Ghost, and they've sure milked that guy.

Interesting that they no longer do the special HMH T-shirts and sweatshirts each year. I have 5 different years I think and I always looked forward to what design they were going to come up with.

I would love to, but won't be there then :( I really want to do a Dapper Day one of these years. I love dressing up.

If anyone is around the 2nd to last weekend in October I will be there then.

Are you traveling solo? I'm local, so may be available that weekend. We could celebrate Dapper Day late. :D

We will be there in from March the 10th to the 15th we are staying at the Tropicana. This is my first time and would love to have a seasoned veteran to show me around. Also since the fiance is my go to WDW resource I'm trying to outdo him at DLR.
