WDW Space Mountain is better than Disneyland's. Change my mind.

Which Space Mountain is better, WDW or DL?

I would say that Magic Kingdoms has the potential to be better than Disneyland's, but it would require a proper extensive possibly multi-year refurbishment to bring it into the 21st century like Disneyland got 20 years ago but of course we had to spend that money on more important things like turning Frontierland into Cars.

Only been on WDW's and DLP's but I think WDW is far better than DLP's. Despite the latter having inversions etc it just doesn't have the character of WDW's. I love the tunnel entrance in Orlando, it makes the whole mountain feel more special being on the outer edge of the park. In Paris you can walk around the entire mountain which for me personally makes it feel less special and appear far smaller. Whilst I do miss the moving walkway on the way out in Orlando, the whole attraction still feels so magical to me and the tunnel and the placing I think is a big part of that.

Like they were planning in 2009 (when "great recession" was taking full force and they were so desperate they granted free admission "no strings attached")?

Hands-down (at least to-date) WDW's Space Mountain building has always been the most impressive. About 300 meter diameter, suited to match the overall grandiose scale of all MK (compared to Disneyland's intimate scale). Ever since childhood I've seen it as the secondary icon of the park (and I don't see the other Space Mountains having a similar affect on their parks....not even Tokyo's when its completed.

I'm not complaining of the current format...but....to PLUS it....

Imo, they should completely gut the building (including the queue roofs). Replace 2 tracks with one smoooooth ride, but double the seating of the rockets (like DL's) to make up for halved capacity. On-board sound, 21st century projections...and MK can reclaim its dominance.

No matter how many years it takes. I'll wait.
