Nor do the Williamsburg hotels or the Greenbrier in WV. Both upper level hotels in the vacation world.
Greenbriar is AMAZING plus everything else in the area.

I agree.. but I don’t think too many people will draw that line in reality.Honestly everyone has to draw a line somewhere. Sure $25 doesn't feel like much at that price point. But, keep in mind Beach club raised their rates by 5% for 2018. Now add in another 6%. That is an 11% increase over last year. That's not chump change. For a moderate like POFQ, it's even worse. You are talking about 13% increases. I can honestly say my line has been met.
Give it time....Maybe i'm wrong, but i still see the advantage of staying on property. At an offsite hotel you often have to pay a resort fee of some kind, or for parking, or both PLUS parking at all the theme parks. Disney is only charging for the parking at the resorts. I still think its bad they've decided to do this because obviously free parking is better.
As for the busses being more crowded, they are also implementing the gondola system which i'm sure will help alleviate some of the crowds.
Thats a good question and brings up a good point. I bet a ton of the good neighbor resorts start charging for parking.I may have missed, but does this include Disney Springs hotels? We might start going back to Buena Vista Palace.
Boo, this is a bad post. Not the same.I'm just going to leave this here.....
i looked at that resort yesterday actually ha!The Springhill Suites at Flamingo Crossing is gonna love this, great hotel and they don't charge for parking and it's literally right next to property.

Meh. Considering the hotel Im planning on staying at in DC is $44 a night to park, I think its a damned good deal.
If we abandon our plans to upgrade to Wilderness Lodge, like its looking, we will. Its not the same, but its alot cheaper ha!I highly recommend it, it's pretty new and affordable! There's a gigantic pool that the two buildings share and there's free breakfast with mickey waffles! It's amazing.
Yeah, of course, the theme of the hotel is definitely not the same, haha, but it's very nice.If we abandon our plans to upgrade to Wilderness Lodge, like its looking, we will. Its not the same, but its alot cheaper ha!
Yep, that one resort doesn't.
But let's be realistic, in the immediate surrounding area around the parks, most do. All the Hilton/Doubletree/, etc around Disney Springs do and have been for quite some time. Dolphin and Swan have been for years. We all knew this would happen at some point.
Like I mentioned earlier, you always have the option to stay at a Motel 6/Budget Inn for 59 bucks and free parking (and heck i did that the first few times I traveled to the World). If you are staying at a $450 a night hotel and can't afford the extra $24 a night, well then I don't think you should be staying there in the first place, which is why I don't.
Were such park nomads as it is. We pack what we need, and try not to leave. Thats why we stayed at POP, as it was literally just a place to pass out for a few hours before we were back at it. However we got burnt out with the overcrowding, and hustle and bustle last trip, and are looking to add more resort time, a bit less park time, and a more relaxing resort experience.Yeah, of course, the theme of the hotel is definitely not the same, haha, but it's very nice.

From Disney to other amusement parks to cruise lines.. fees have been going up and up and more added.. less included that once was included.
So no matter where/what you frequent, it’s happening. Almost impossible to avoid.
WDW has the blessing of size. DL does not.I'm just going to leave this here.....
Most of the faithful already do not care.Free dining will come soon and all the faithful will forget about parking fees...
We pay to park downtown Nashville too. If i want to go see my preds play in person, its a 15 dollar garage parking fee, but there's very very limited parking downtown, so its understandable. There's alternatives that are free or cheaper, but require more of a walk. Theres free parking and a foot bridge that we also use if were going to be downtown for a whole day. There isnt a lack of places to park, they just want more money, and wont give us anything in return. If this was to fund a doubling of bus fleet, or brand new monorails, or even a future expansion of skyliner to Animal Kingdom, or really anything to add to the crippled transportation system, i probably wouldn't be as mad.
