OK. I don't know why they would keep the parks closed if those were the facilities being used.
I don't see one having any impact at all on the other; meaning whatever they do with the NBA will have nothing to do with the reopening schedule for the parks. They aren't going to need all of their room capacity when they start to re-open the parks anyway so it will help to increase occupancy, which will put more cast members back to work.

Agreed. I think the same holds true for specific holidays, like waiting till after July 4th or Labor Day, etc. If they open before July 4th, they will probably just hold to their capacity constraints and cancel any special stuff for the holidays this year.

JP Morgan, why is a bank doing a health study and do you think they have an inherent bias?
Any major company is doing their own assessments. I bet the Insurance companies running their own studies. The profitability of their business depends on it.

However, I would caution people against reading a snap headline and the media outlet mentioned above, and drawing conclusions. The study is actually very cautionary about the geopolitical implications of the virus, and the way demagogues will use it. Which is why Dimon is running around talking about the opportunity to build a fairer economic world and wake-up calls. Also, the Re (even though they called in Ro) was more a conclusion that people act independently of government mandated lockdowns. It is definitely not, "R is still declining, virus isn't dangerous, everything is getting back to normal, yay!" More, most people continued to act appropriately for the risk and so the R was not negatively affected by limited re-openings.

I agree. Calling June 20th the parks will be ready to go. They won’t want universal go that long without competition; they’d be missing out on potential customers.

Let’s be clear that upon opening, the parks will be no where near any Of the limited capacity limits. Other than the lifestylers and vloggers, who are desperate to go back to once again feeling relevant to the world, crowds of typical guests are still months away. But the process of returning to normalcy has to start. Right now Uso has a head start.

Which is no problem. They are much smaller.

Universal is going to operate the same as Disney more or less. Unless you’re saying they’d both be a waste, then fine. But I don’t know why one would be more of a waste than the other.

Unless I miss read? No water rides? Now for universal, that is a negative. But in its defense Potter, hulk are good. Unless they do a special Florida severe discount I will avoid.

Disney I'm tied to splash mountain. But at least there i enjoy plopping on a bench and eating lol

Oh, okay. I didn't know that you were referring to these specific things. Yeah, that stinks. But subtracting the water rides, this is only taking away Jurassic Park and Ripsaw falls isn't it?
-2 for universal

Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids. (I know they're not going to take away Pirates, or Na'vi River, but I'm not sure about Frozen?)
But let's just say that is also taking out -2.

I guess it is a big thing for Universal, since it doesn't have as much rides as Disney does, and because they do have the upper hand on number of parks.

I listened to the presentation. He did NOT say no water rides. He said they would reduce and/or eliminate water elements that get guests wet.

I heard no mist effects, if that's something you heard.

Here's what the presentation had -
