Jimmie Johnson's crew prepping for his final pit stop of his win on Sunday. Was able to have hot passes to this race on Sunday. Incredible, and a truly photo-rich environment.

I have been lucky enough to have hot passes to the Chicagoland races for the last few years. The excitement of being in the pits during the race is unreal. Being out on the track when they start their engines is hard to describe. Here are a few pics from the past.Jimmie Johnson's crew prepping for his final pit stop of his win on Sunday. 149th PA Regiment Monument at Mcpherson's Barn

Condfederate Batteries along Seminary Ridge looking towards the Union position
North Carolina Monument looking East towards the Union Lines
Confederate Battery on Seminary Ridge looking towards Union lines
General Lee Monument on Seminary Ridge looking over the fields of the Pickett-Trimble-Pettigrew Attack also know as Longstreet's Assault (aka Pickett's Charge)
Looking north towards the Trostle Barn in the distance. On the July 2nd, 1863 Confederate forces attacked from left to right towards the woods. Directly behind the woods is the infamous Wheatfields which changed hands no less than 5 times during a 4 hour period. (Tried to go for a ghostly eerie feeling look)
Same picture description as above. Was trying to achiecve a misty, foggy look at sunset in during the fall season.

A few shots of the Texas State House. Literally in the building for about 15 minutes as we walked through to a Dr Appt. Grabbed what I could. Need to go back. Lots of interesting things to shoot in there.
