I took this one a couple weeks ago:

I’ve always loved the battered walls of castles. I retired from a 42+ year career in architecture a year ago this month. Back in the 90’s, battered wall accents were all the rage on bungalow/craftsman, Tuscan, and Texas Hill Country Contemporary architecture. We did some sloped battered walls, but mostly angled.
Below is a rough sketch I did years ago (with battered walls highlighted), along with a bonus closeup of a Hidden Mickey I used to draw (sometimes several) in the stone/rock work of any rough or presentation sketch I did, where stone was involved…!!!!! :geek::hilarious::cautious::cool:;):)

I know almost nothing about architecture and design so had to look up 'battered walls'. 🏚️ What a great way to incorporate Disney into your job! Isn't the Mitsukoshi Department store in Japan also an example of 'battered walls'?
