WDW Permits

Visibility has been a continuing problem for the CoP attraction.
The building is plain and doesn't stand out. Some guests mistake it for a maintenance building or the back side of something.

CoP needs some color, some visual high points, etc.

I agree. I had no clue what the attraction was until I started reading Disney web sites.

Any publicity for CoP is fine by me!

Also, has anyone here heard of "Rolling Thunder" (the type used by forums)? It's used in a few threads at fatwallet.com. If you put certain characters around parts of your post, it automatically puts them into a wiki post at the beginning. Now, we don't have wiki posts here, but that would be pretty cool to have for a thread like this!

might I request that this thread be stickied?

Compliance. ;) That way, those who like to go straight to a thread can do so, while those who like to scan new posts for any topics of interest will also see new updates. new posts

And because this is such a specific topic, I'm going to be less tolerant of thread drift than usual. :animwink:

How about switching the order of the first post to newest on top? Might make it easier to see the new stuff.

Then I, or someone else, would have to come in every day and move them. I believe Master Yoda said he will do a monthly update, so I will lock the thread each month.

That will at least only give you a month's worth of posts to read. I will also be deleting any OT posts, so that should make the thread a lot shorter. :ROFLOL:

I didn't mean the order of all of the posts, I simply meant the order the permits are listed in the very first post of the thread. Currently new permits are added to the bottom of the first post when it is updated. I was suggesting new permits be added to the top instead of the bottom.

I could do that if that is what every one would like.

I guess it's just me, but whenever I look at these permits, I find myself completely lost as to what the nature of the permit is. I see something that has a subject of "Imagination Demolition" and then I scan through the permit and don't see anything that says that. Am I just not looking in the right place?

No ,you are looking at it correctly. The scope of work listed on these or any other permit for that matter tends to be rather vague. Detailed information would be on the plans which are not on line at this time. The State of Florida is moving in the direction of all electronic plans so it is possible that we might see the plans available on line to the public in the foreseeable future but like most other government projects what would take 5 years to do in the private sector will take the government 50 years to accomplish.
