I believe they are catching up with trying to bring WDW up to date with what they got Ding'd by California for not being up on regulations last year in that state. Kinda like when DL was Ding'd for not being ADA compliant in few areas of the DL/Cali/resorts parks, they in pretty short order fixed the same items in WDW. I saw those mirror changes in WDW last month.
Permit for Animal Kingdom today:

The address would put it back by the Yak and Yeti. There was a similar permit to this late last year. There have been reports of construction back there and it was believed to be a new walking path, but these permits lead me to believe it's more then that.

Interesting piece of trivia.... The work on Avatar and the other additions to AK is being done by Balfour Beatty Construction. If you have ever seen Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom there is a great scene at the end that takes place on a rope bridge over a gorge. Balfour Beatty was working on the Victoria Dam in Sri Lanka not to far from the filming location so they were hired to construct the bridge for the film.

When I read the permit I was assuming these were construction trailers, but now that you mention it, they could also be new "permanent" back stage trailers.
Saw this permit today. Not sure if this is something existing or something new. Permit run to the end of the year so it's something pretty significant:

They've been expanding that "boardwalk" for a while, so it's likely related to that. Frontierland definitely needs more walking space, especially during parades.
South Florida Water Management District permit today for a new fireworks QA facility across from the current fireworks storage area behind Magic Kingdom. Here is an aerial that shows where the new facility will be built.

Would be welcome. Of course they could have used the FLE expansion as an opportunity to create a new parade route, but no.
This seems to be something at least.
Interesting permit today. The contractor is Balfour Beatty who is doing Avatar and other AK work, and it expires October of 2016. I assume this is connected to Avatar or one of the other AK projects but I am not sure what parking they are removing that would necessitate this. I assume it's backstage parking.
