Sorry for the lateness. I was so busy focusing on the real tournament that I got kinda sidetracked. :lookaroun

Results tightened up in round 3, as the top attractions within each bracket made for an overall competitive round. Amazingly (to me), seven of the eight #1 seeds won their brackets. Now we'll see if the tough competition continues beyond the bracketed rounds.

The Studios became the first park to bite the dust this round, as all 3 of its remaining entrants were defeated. As we head to the quarterfinal round, Magic Kingdom has 5 of the final 8, Animal Kingdom has 2, and Epcot is represented by IllumiNations alone.

Sweet 16 results:

Icons & Jaw-droppers
#5 IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth def. #2 Spaceship Earth 10-7

Grab Bag
#1 Walt Disney World Railroad def. #2 Great Movie Ride 10-7

Interactive Adventures
#1 Mickey's PhilharMagic def. #2 Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin 15-2

Learning Experiences
#1 Kilimanjaro Safaris def. #2 The American Adventure 12-5

Live Entertainment
#1 Festival of the Lion King def. #2 Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! 14-3

Classic Favorites
#1 Haunted Mansion def. #3 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 12-5

Character Corner
#1 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party def. #3 Peter Pan's Flight 9-8

Thrills & Chills
#1 Splash Mountain def. #2 Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-7
--------------------------------------------------------
So now we can dispense with bracket titles and seeds. Here are the Elite 8:

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth vs. Walt Disney World Railroad

Mickey's PhilharMagic vs. Kilimanjaro Safaris

Festival of the Lion King vs. Haunted Mansion

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party vs. Splash Mountain

Not nearly enough votes for this round.
Stop giving people ideas. The more votes there are, the less significant my individual vote is. Could you modify your plea such that prospective voters would consider my entries as the de facto standard for voting? Should any voter decide to stray from that standard, they would be required to fill out a waiver form and apply for an exception. Then, sure, bring on more votes! :D

I'm going to take the liberty of voting for dem dere wdwmagic members who ain't around no more. As it happens, they agree with all my picks. What a coincidence!
