WDW literally falling apart

Walt Disney if he actually walked into EPCOT today: “Why is this purple peice of garbage everywhere in my city?”
Hey now!
So what if I like to dress up a little when I visit the parks. You don't have to be so judgmental about it.

Seems like there is a concerted effort to fix things at the parks within the past 6-12 months, just based off of all the reports of effects being fixed.

My uneducated hope is that this is COVID-era bottlenecks and labor shortages finally getting worked out to a reasonable degree.

You're welcome. I raised this very point at last years shareholder meeting. About taking care of the parks, burnt out lightbulbs, the details, etc. And they did ask it to the Bob, and he did answer.

So I take full credit for all maintenance since then.

What was his response?

My conspiracy theory is they secretly taxed everyone shopping at that store a additonal 1 penny and waited till the funds accumulated to fix the exterior. Its the only logical explaination for why it took 3 years for work to get started 🙃
They had to redesign the assembly of the building envelope at the openings.

You just gotta love the terrible patch job they've waited 3 years to do with what looks basically like stick-on stone wallpaper, less detail/intricacy, and odd ornaments compared to the original stone facade. Looking at the original article from 2022, didn't realize how good we had it

I've seen better looking contact shelf paper. The question remains will they do more or is that it? Looks terrible against the paint color. Also, in the real world why would an architect have opted for two drastically different types of marble/granite when one would have sufficed? It's such a weird design choice.

I hope the facade looks better when finished cause right now, it's fugly.

That facade is based on a real building in Los Angeles, the old Max Factor building in Hollywood. There's also a facade at California Adventure based on the same building. As for why the original architect chose two different stones? It was Hollywood in the 30s, so why not.

It’s based on a real building in the real world where an architect opted for two drastically different types of stone.

Its better than the green painted plywood that's been there for years. ;)

Seriously, its terrible and it seems to me to be a collapse in leadership on many levels.
