I am not a martini fan, but I do enjoy a trip around the world at Epcot on occassion!

This is on the Orlando Sentinel:

'Cheers' magazine named Walt Disney World's Blue 'Glow-Tini' the 'Best Chain Signature Drink.' (WALT DISNEY WORLD / April 7, 2008)

Mickey Mouse is getting a reputation for mixing great cocktails.

Walt Disney World runs America's best chain of cocktail bars, according to Cheers magazine, which also called Walt Disney World's signature libation a "dream-like" martini.

The trade magazine for full-service restaurants and bars said the company's usual attention to themed detail and operational efficiency has made the resort the nation's "Best Chain Overall Beverage Program."

Disney's "Blue 'Glow-Tini'," won the magazine's "Best Chain Signature Drink" prize.

Cheers touts its annual awards as the industry's top honors. Winners were selected by peer judges, and prizes were presented in late January, though Disney World waited until late last week to note its wins.

Cheers writes that Disney's cocktail business "delivers a little Disney magic in every glass." In this case the magic is not produced by pixie dust, Disney said in its press release.

The resort overhauled its alcoholic drinks and standardized its cocktail menu in late 2006 as part of the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion.

"That joy and fun carries over to our beverage menu," said spokeswoman Andrea Finger.

Ok I Love martini's of all flavors. They are suppose to have alot of alcohol in them but I know how disney makes there drinks and the alcohol is a little slack. So do thay have as much alcohol as they should or are they making them the disney way....

I've never met a martini I didn't like, but I'm surprised by the accolades for the "Glow-tini." It's not bad, but it's nothing I would ever give an award to. The glow cube is cute and all, but it's rather ordinary otherwise.

But congrats, either way! :sohappy:

I don't know what bars you've been drinking at, but just about all of the watering holes I've been to have poured very nicely! You get a good overpriced drink, you buy another, then another, then yet another... Then you go to the bathroom and come back for another!

By the end of the day, you're down $100 but really feeling the magic, in a park other than MK of course!

I definitly agree the bartenders at the mouse house seem pretty generous with the pouring of liquor.

The bartenders at the Polynesian were very gererous with the alcohol when I was there in October...
"Ohh yheaa... Food and Wine Festival just weeks away! Better start sobering up from last year's!" Isn't it more like several months away??

Well then I will def try one when I go in May. I just hate it when you pay so much money for a drink and you have to add more of your own because theres not enough..or maybe thats just because I make my drinks a little to stong most of the time..I think that could be it!! haha:hammer:

I agree I had one in Feburary when we ate at the Coral reef. It looked really cool, (I have a picture of it at home) but it didn't taste like anything extra special.

Can they make a Mojito as good as the ones at Tommy Bahama's?

Anyone know what is in it, besides what I imagine is Blue Curacao. Oh!! Stop drinking Mojito's. They are very bad for you.
