WDW coasters

Universal has 3 family/kiddie coasters, Disney has 1! This reduces what I would consider a major coaster at Universal to 4, where as Disney would have 5. So, the argument does, indeed, continue. :animwink:

Oh, okay...that makes it 1.25 coasters/park at WDW and 2 coaster/park at Universal! So, Universal has nearly double the coasters/park that Disney has! ;)

^ So I guess that makes Universal the root of all evil. Get over it guys. Disney has theme parks, Universal has theme parks, Seaworld has a couple themed parks. They are all out to get money from people visiting central Florida.

Well, we shouldn't count Epcot since it has 0 coasters in its park. So, Disney has 1.67 coasters Universal has 2. :)

Seriously though, Universal is not some evil empire of thrill rides. I get sick and tired of people saying that. They are the closest thing to Disney you will ever come across. They have and continue to do an amazing job with theming and will only continue to impress those of us without our "Disney is God" goggles on.

krakenstein, you are my friend.

What also bugs me is when people say "I wish Disney got Harry Potter, they would make it soo much better!" It amazes me when people say that, because they have obviously not been to IOA and seen the amazing amount of detail in that park. Or they have seen it and chose to not acknowledge it.

Actually, if you want to get REAL technical...WDW has 7 seven coasters. Primevil Whirl consists of two coasters, one on the left and right to increase capacity.

We're having fun with this, but I do realize that some folks are VERY serious when they get into these Disney vs Universal (or anyone else for that matter) conversations.

I'm a HUGE fan of everything Disney. But, I can't just pretend that the other theme parks don't exist....as a matter of fact, I enjoy lots of theme parks for their own unique shows and attractions.

Just because I spent the first 21 years of my life in Southern California and the last 15 here in South Florida and going to Disney parks my entire life, it's natural that I compare the other parks to Disney. But, I can't denounce them entirely as weaker or something....they're different. Personally, I'm a fan of lots of the Universal Park attractions (I went to the original Universal Studios in So Cal several times growing up).

But, again, my favorite theme park experiences have always been at Disney. :D

Same here, I was having fun with the fraction thing. Also, I wasn't referring to you specifically, I was just making a general comment. I'm sorry if it came across as I was singling you out, I didn't intend to.
