I'm sorry, im more inclined to believe the 4 news stations, the official disney press site and the slantinel over what their website is saying.....

I have a question about tickets, and park closings. My brother and his wife will arrive tonight for there honeymoon (flight delayed 3 hours). If the MYW tickets now have an expiration date on them, and the parks can not open due to weather,is the extra day refundable? I have no problem with WDW closing due to bad weather for the safety of there staff and there guest, just curious what his outcome may be.

Although Disney is closing on Monday, the Sentinel's Mark Chediak reports that other major theme parks, including Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, expected to open but were keeping an eye on the storm.

“We're closely monitoring the situation,” said Courtney Huff, spokeswoman for Universal Orlando.

Disney has decided to close all its parks Monday. But they're leaving open the possibility that they will reopen:

Weather permitting, Walt Disney World may reopen one or more theme parks after the storm passes on Monday to entertain the tens of thousands of Guests currently staying in our resort hotels.

Disney is asking its cast members to report to work by 7 a.m. to avoid winds. Read on for more.

Due to the potential of tropical storm force winds associated with Hurricane Wilma, all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney and Disney’s Wide World of Sports will not open tomorrow morning, Monday, October 24.

We have made this decision in an abundance of caution based on information from the National Weather Service, the National Hurricane Center and local emergency preparedness officials, all of whom currently expect the storm to pass more than 100 miles south of the resort.

All resort hotels will remain open, though Guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground have been relocated to other hotels on property.

All Cast Members scheduled to work Monday morning at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Walt Disney World Resort hotels and the Disney Reservation and Call Centers should report to their work locations no later than 7 a.m. to avoid stronger winds expected later in the morning. All other Cast Members should contact their Cast Hotlines or their leaders for information about their schedule for Monday.

Apparently al CMs are still expected to report come 7AM.... At the height of teh storm... insane...
The height of the storm will be after 7 AM for the Orlando area. That is why they want everyone to report to work before 7 AM so they do not have to commute in the storm.

Yup, SeaWorld is still telling it's employees that it will be open! Should be interesting in the morning! People often ask about the whales and dolphins in a storm... You know they'll keep swimming through it like they did last year!

Nether the less, it will be an interesting day in Central Florida on Monday!

Was anyone at Epcot today? I thought I saw about 30 utility trucks parked in the parking lot. Then again I was was looking through the trees, so who knows.

Yes, theyre staging out of the Epcot Parking lot. I saw a convoy from Kent Michigan heading there the other night.

EDIT --- This is not the first time theyve done that. Happened a lot last year and several times already this hurricane season.
