there was talk of a plane landing on it once, and had to be shipped out by road since it couldn`t take off again. Maybe true, maybe myth. Now I believe it is used for bus overflow parking / driver training. Here it is:

The short answer to all of this is that the no-fly zone only extends to clying below 3,000 above the parks.
