WDW 50th Anniversary

What do you guys think will happen for Walt Disney Worlds 50th Anniversary
I predict Magic Kingdom gets a firework show like R.D.C.T and a brand new parade themed to WDWs 50th, and that MSEP returns to its original form
also that by this time, Epcot DHS and AK finally get expansions (more toward DHS and AK)
And hopefully a 5th gate.
Also if we're lucky DHS could reintroduce Nightly (if not weekend) Firework shows like before.

So what do you guys think will happen by WDWs 50th

I would like to see the nighttime show at Disneyland brought here, I believe it's called the Wonderful World of Color? I heard it was absolutely amazing.

Some expansion in Animal Kingdom would be great, too. More than likely, though, they would just build one new E-Ticket at every theme park. A fifth gate might be asking too much from them. A new resort seems plausible, on the other hand. Perhaps refurbish some old classics?

That's my two cents.

For 50th anniversary of WDW, I would like to see all the parks refurbished exteriors, brought up to par and finished by 2021. But before a 5th gate, I would ike to see expansion of DHS, bring it back to a working studio again, expansion at DAK with either a new continent or a few new attractions. I would like to see World of Color brought to WDW 'somewhere'...maybe DTD area!? as a nighttime spectacular? Just think what the crowds would be like for the restaurants and shops!

But seeing how the economy is still a little sluggish, I would not expect anything but an ALL PARK REFURBISHING!

Even better if they redevelop the hollywood hills amphitheater into a multi-leveled plaza that faced the lake in front of dhs, with the show being performed on the lake.

Speak for yourself, woc looks awesome, and I would love it if they cloned it and brought it to wdw. Some people have this big hang up about cloning dl attractions. I personally dont have a problem with it, as long as the attraction is worth bringing over, and woc is definitely worth bringing over!

I dont see why people hate the idea of "cloning." Most people on the east coast have never been to dl but have been to wdw more times than they can count. I myself have only been to dl once and probably wont go again for a looong time.

WDW is the most visited out of all the disney resorts so it should have the best that disney parks has to offer. They should bring over woc, indiana jones, some of the fl rides like pinocchio and alice. It still amazes me that dl park is so small yet it seems to have so many more rides than mk.

I myself would prefer Fantasmic! to be a nightly show again, only after having some extended downtime and tweaks. It is an absolute zoo now that it's only, what, three nights a week now?

Glad someone said it! But I guess I'll chime in...

I think the expectation of the remaining 3 parks to all get expansions PLUS a 5th gate it totally nuts. I think the idea of a 5th gate in general is totally nuts, but thats just me. I think you might see one of the parks get another expansion in the next 10 years. Remember that when the FL expansion opens next year, it will only be phase one. I assume it will be DHS, with all the Cars land, Monsters Inc. coaster buzz about I can see that happening after the FL expansion is completely done.

oh and I think the Animation resort will be done by then. Probably with plans for a totally new resort in the works.

And just to reiterate; I'm totally on the side of not having a 5th gate, ever. I think we have 4 awesome parks that could possibly never be finished, always be in a state of adding/refurb. Why have 5 decent parks when you could have 4 great ones?

The problem with cloning is that the ride isn't original or authentic to the park so it sometimes clashes, also tdo has placed cloned rides in the past that are shorter and lesser versions of the original.
