They’ve sold off more than just down by Celebration.Correct, they sold off some property to be developed into the final village in Celebration and bought more land behind celebration to make up for it.

I'd actually pay that. I'd love to meet you in person. We've been chatting for years after all. It's a $100 upcharge for a M&G with me.
Too tallDoes anyone have an update on this? I came to this thread to try and find out how tall the buildings closest to AKL are going to be?
Too tall
I’m not 100% certain but I don’t think they ever owned this property. I think Disney’s biggest error here was building so close the property line. This was an unforced error by Disney, right? Didn't they either choose to not purchase this land or formerly owned it and sold it? Or am I thinking of something else?

I was at AKL last month. You can see the tops of the buildings over the trees.
Surprised but not surprised, just a quick look at the Disney management and their decisions gives a good clue.I'm really surprised Disney didn't buy that land to prevent this.
When was the land purchased?I'm really surprised Disney didn't buy that land to prevent this.
When was the land purchased?
It was sold for $3.5 million in 2019. Hard to believe Disney didn't buy it to prevent this. That's pocket change for Disney.

I'm curious what the list price was, assuming this was put on the market and not just a private transaction. It was sold for $3.5 million in 2019. Hard to believe Disney didn't buy it to prevent this. That's pocket change for Disney.

Some bamboo trees in the right places should help hide most of it, the more annoying thing is the tacky sling shot ride at margaritaville towering above the tree line.
Also curious if Disney ever had the option to buy the land.
