Watching others trying to keep their cool

The last few times I have been to the park I noticed people starting to cry during rides and events like Wishes, Illuminations, on Spaceship earth at the space scene but those might not be happy tears and the entrance LOL. Who looses their cool at the entrance of a theme park. I am to hyped up to even thing about having the lump in my throat. I like all the parks equally but for some reason Epcot is the most exiting for me to enter. I just dont understand all that. I speed walk after I put my pass thru the gates. Crying while looking at leave a legacy might be an excuse. I have to admit I almost lost my cool when they played the Horizons music and Tomorrows Child while showing the old Epcot logo along with the Epcot center one, doing that was kind of mean I think (torturing). It brought back memories. Magic Kingdom is still the same knock on wood.

I admit I got choked up when I brought my little girl to DL for the first time. Seeing her reaction was just so cool.

I get teary eyed the moment I first lay eyes on SSE from a distance, then spend the rest of my trip sobbing like a baby. ;)

Hooray for dark sunglasses.

I've never really welled up when visiting WDW. I mean, obviously I love to go and take the family, but to the point of tears? No, I'm afraid not. I suppose it's that Grinch-esque heart of mine....:D

Not really fair to judge.. some people might have emotional connections that you don't know about, which is why they well up/cry. It might not just be *being there*.

A crying moment at WDW?

It's when you finally get your dear old grandmother to Disney World.
You roll her, in her wheel chair, through the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. She looks around, back and forth, and has a big smile on her face.
Then about half way down Main Steet she slumps in her wheel chair.
You stop and lean over her as she softly says, 'Thank you so much for getting me here. Mmmmm.. I think I'm going now.'
And then she's gone.

So you leave the Magic Kingdom, get back to the parking lot, tie her to the top of the station wagon and drive home.

She could probably still have ridden . . . I don't see anything on the signs about being actually dead . . . just if you have heart condition, etc. :ROFLOL:

I have never cried while at WDW. I also have never lost any of the loved ones that make the trek with me each year though. I'm sure that when that happens, there will be certain rides or shows, that will elicit an emotional response from me. As for now the first ecxiting thing for me is driving under the welcome sign. Everything is forgotten at that point and I'm in my own little world.
