Walt's One Attraction?

Interesting question I was musing about today that I thought I would share with you:

If you could take Walt Disney on one attraction or to one show/parade in WDW(regardless of time period)what would it be?

My answer:Even though I would love for him to see something in EPCOT that came from his dream like SSE(94) or Horizons,I would have to show him Wishes. To me,it's the perfect personification of the Disney Experience and it would probally bring much joy to him,to see his work living on.

You?

Have Fun!

Mickey's Philharmagic - To show him how far ahead of his time he truly was, it incorporates all the "extras" that he orginally wanted for his masterpiece Fantasia, with a sensory surrounding experience, and to show him, that 40 years later, the characters he created are still as beloved as ever.

Yeah, that would be fun for him.

He probably wouldn't mind SGE...We Just don't like it because it replaced AE.

Thanks for the replies!

Philharmagic would amuse him but I think Carousel of Progress would bring him a tear as well as Spectromagic. I think he would be really proud of almost everything and marvel at how his little empire spread out and how many people love it and him, many years later. I think he'd laugh at RnR and say..."who in tarnation is Aerosmith??":ROFLOL:

Seriously, I'd love to just walk with him through Cinderella's Castle and show him how his dream became a reality and show him the statue of him and Mickey in front of it. I think he'd be pleased. :)

well i will be honest, this thread is bringing little tears to my eyes! if i could take Walt to any attraction, i would first start off by showing him the light that is on in the window on main street, so he could see, that even though he never saw the park built, just like disneyland, the light is on, because his spirit lives on in the park. but as far as an actual attraction, i would have to say i would take a ride on the monorail. He was so enthusiastic to introduce the monorail to Disneyland, oh if he could see WDW's Monorail. And he could see some of the hotels, and it would take him for a nice view to see that his dream of EPCOT came true :)

I think Walt Disney would really love Kilimanjaro Safaris. He loved wild animals, and originally wanted to have real animals in the Jungle Cruise instead of animatronic figures. I think his face would light up with delight at seeing elephants, zebras, and antelope wandering around freely within 50 feet of guests.

I think the PhillharMagic post has some great merits, but I think I would have to go with something in Epcot.

Horizons or Spaceship Earth (1994 version) were really what he was all about, and I think he would have loved the whole idea of where we have been and where we are going.

Since both of these are no longer options, I would just like to place him at the edge of World Showcase Lagoon for IllumiNations. I think this show has the same ideals that have been mentioned before, and he could see how his dreams came into reality. He could look out over the lagoon or look back at Future World and see the beauty and majesty his company had created.

Because it's been so neglected and there's usually maybe 10 people in the theater? I love COP, it just needs some love right now.

I don't disagree with Philharmagic, it has the classic Mickey and Donald plotline plus all of the latest in 3D and CGI graphics which I'm sure would really be incredible to behold for someone from that era.

The safari as well, fufilling something he wanted to accomplish with the Jungle Cruise but wasn't able to.

I really don't know what he'd think of anything in Epcot since it is so vastly different from his idea, I think he'd be disappointed that his city was never built.

I'm guessing he would really enjoy the Everest ride as a newer version of the Matterhorn.

I'd probably send him the DL version of Space Mountain 2.0 as it's one thing that was being talked about in very early stages before his passing.

I would take him on Soarin' just because i think the ride is so emotional with so many people. Its the only ride I know where everytime i've ridden it people clap at the end. It actually feels like you're flying and I would love to see his face watching people enjoy everything.

Mostly though, I would love to just sit with him on a bench in a park and just watch people pass by and talk about life.

Although it's not his original conception of EPCOT I'm sure he would have been pleased that we used the concepts.

I actually would take Walt atop the contemporary for the best view of wishes you can find anywhere. Just to give him the view of the whole world before him all lit up, and then the performance of wishes. I know it brought tears to my eyes.

I think this is a tough question. At first I think he would love Epcot but then I don't know if Animal Kingdom would overwhelm him more. Having said that, if I only have one ride to choose I'd take him on Tower of Terror because the themeing is fantastic and the ride tells such a cool story.
