There was nothing much original left to begin with.Looks like the Walter got part of his frame replaced. Not going to be much original left of these guys!

The Yucatan is not kind to machineryThere was nothing much original left to begin with.
I suggest asking the vibranium sythazoid rebooted and bleached white that questionif all original parts are replaced, is it still the Walter E. Disney? Hmm.
That was my point... less and less left! There was nothing much original left to begin with.
True, but it’s part of the price that you have to be willing to pay if you want these nearly 100 year old locomotives to continue to run. That was my point... less and less left!
Oh yeah. Not a complaint just an observation.True, but it’s part of the price that you have to be willing to pay if you want these nearly 100 year old locomotives to continue to run.
Some assembly required! This is an interesting photo.
Not sure exactly when this was taken. Not my photo. However, the photo itself looks recent based on the quality. This one I zoomed in on the Walter. The original shows all of the Roy also. Some assembly required!
When was this taken?
Reports that Walter was outside the roundhouse for testing this morning.

It would have to go backwards unless they use a crane (which I highly doubt, they have a bad history with steam powered things and cranes).Even if the track won't be completed by October, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a train steamed up for the 50th to pull into Main Street during a ceremony.
Ha yes, looks like the entire loop is complete minus that 500' stretch. They would never have passengers like that, but I could see them backing all the way around to Space Mtn to pull into Main Street. It would have to go backwards unless they use a crane (which I highly doubt, they have a bad history with steam powered things and cranes).
Would definitely be nice. Fingers crossedEven if the track won't be completed by October, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a train steamed up for the 50th to pull into Main Street during a ceremony.
You don't say lolthey have a bad history with steam powered things and cranes
There’s no issue with moving trains backwards with or without passengers. They shove back over a semi-public grade crossing with passengers everyday they do a steam train tour.It would have to go backwards unless they use a crane (which I highly doubt, they have a bad history with steam powered things and cranes).
The main issue, I would assume, are the crossings at Adventureland and Frontierland. I'm about 100% sure that the gates can only be triggered coming from Main Street. I don't believe there are sensors that would drop the gates with a train coming from Frontierland Station. However, the gates can still be dropped manually via the control box, but someone would have to be manning the crossing. They don’t want to run regular operations with shove moves, but there is no issue moving a train to Main Street if they want to.
I could care less about safety it would just look stupid IMO.There’s no issue with moving trains backwards with or without passengers. They shove back over a semi-public grade crossing with passengers everyday they do a steam train tour.
