and to think...some Ad agency got paid millions of dollars for that...

From what I know it's one of the Publicis agencies but I don't know exactly which one. Or if this work got transferred to OMD with some of the entertainment work was shifted to that agency. For this specific spot you're probably looking more at under $100,000. The millions of dollars that an agency receives goes towards a companies fiscal year budget.

Nothing really indicating a view of Epcot. I can only assume the one of Olaf was in Norway

I assumed Olaf is Hollywood Studios as that is where the Olaf meet and great is.

and magic doesn't happen at Epcot, as Epcot is all about real things like cars and wine and beer and gardens and fish and beer and food and wine.

Well, not really. Norway has the Majestic Elsa, no? Turtle Talk with crush is real?

Plus now having a girl do an awful version of Pilot's "It's Magic!" At least you can hear their version at Pop Century in the Bus Courtyard...

The kid wearing the fez marveling at the Morocco pavilion was in Epcot

No, it wasn't instantly recognizable or even indicate that it's in one of the theme parks, but it does seem to return to Epcot's roots, where kids (and adults) can be entertained by the world around them without any characters butting in. I'm not especially hopeful for Epcot's future, but it does seem like they managed to actually capture some of what once made it such a great park

I envision hearing "Have a Magical day" endlessly. Oh wait, we already do.

Sorry if someone already posted that- it is pretty obvious, admittedly.

Have a magical day! :wave

@LuvtheGoof you are correct that it is easier to tear down and that any campaign will fall short in the eyes and ears of some.

That said, some devoted fans have had just about enough of hearing about "magic" as the secret sauce for why prices continue to escalate above increases in the CPI or inflation and cringe when told to "have a magical day" anymore.

Surely a well paid ad company could put forward a bold, imaginative and captivating campaign bringing positive emphasis upon the anticipated new offerings of the Walt Disney World resort using new words. Don Draper could have done better, no doubt.

Using CPI or inflation when talking about a luxury vacation is disingenuous. You simply cannot compare, and I don't care what they did back in the day. If they thought they could have charged a lot more in the 70's and 80's, then they would have. My opinion only of course.

And I prefer "have a magical day" to the "have a good one" that I get everywhere else all the frickin' time.

Does Imagination count?
