I'm somewhere between not caring at all about this and being mildly sad about it at the same time.
So? There wouldn’t be a whole lot left to the place if everything that wasn’t noticed by someone was removed.I've been to WDW quite a few times and I could not even tell you where this thing is. I don't even remember seeing it or paying much attention to it if I did see it.
I bet the DVC Goofy ones won't be going anywhere. The only thing surprising about this news is how long it took.
The ToT billboard (as well as all the other 3D ones) always seemed to me like a temporary promotional thing that was never meant to stay up as long as it did.
Agree. Its the same reason ive been *****ing over the use of epic. Everything is epic. I ate lunch at so and so last night, it was epic.. saw the new disney series on Disney +.. its epic.. the concert last night was epic. I remember when epic meant like nothing you have done or seen before and it wont happen again most likely.. not a club sandwich from the local deli.when everything is "iconic", nothing is
Yeah, and the other thing that’s been getting too expensive is a trip to WDW - especially if they can't be bothered to maintain things anymore. You know, they said upkeep was getting too expensive. I don't know why they can't just add a strobe light and call it good. I hear that fools a lot of people.
Now I really want to see this.when Tower of Terror Billboard: Martin's Complete Ultimate Tribute comes out, you'll be sorry! you'll ALL be sorry!
I just hope the glare from his bald dome doesn’t cause any accidents…Shhhh!! You weren’t supposed to mention that yet!! Now his big D23 announcement has been ruined…
Wait until you see the uproar over Disney removing the 'Trolley Show' from Main Street! It is not just this one thing but a slow death by a thousand cuts.
Can I have it?
I was looking at recent footage, I didn't realize how noisy it was. Something that squeaky can't be easy to maintain.

I agree. I joined here about 14 years ago, and I remember being excited about new projects. It was a happy place to go between vacations to share news with other enthusiasts. I'm glad we are all vocal on our disappointment. Hopefully enough people will join in and maybe someday Disney will get back on track, but as it is now I can't imagine the state the parks will be in over the next 20 years. This forum isn't even fun anymore (nothing against you wdwmagic!). The overwhelming majority of news coming out of Disney just has this nasty, negative taste to it, since around the time Chappy took the position of chairman.
A giant statue of Chapek will be constucted in its place....why?
