With the way Disney stock has been in a free fall over the last year, perhaps this is a metaphor that hits too close to home (flirting with dipping below $90 as I write this)

So was your beloved and magical Resort TV channel. It’s an advertisement.
But it’s an advertisement that for many people became a landmark and a “we are here” moment. It’s an advertisement.
okay i was just as vocal about this topic when the ICONIC Walt Disney World entrance signs were redone last year. i may be soft, but "a lot of y'all" are resistant to changeI'm gonna be honest, a lot of ya'll are soft. But with the insane emotions over the loss of a tv channel, it's not surprising.

As the Tower of Terror elevator falls "faster than gravity," so has Disney's stock underperformed the averages. What stock hasn’t been in free fall over the last year?
Great, so we’re in agreement. Both are small things that aren’t a big deal to remove. It's a tv channel.
Disney’s performance has been uniquely bad compared to the rest of the market, even more so since this tweet by one of CNBC’s top anchorsWhat stock hasn’t been in free fall over the last year?
I agree with you but if the landmarks Disney has demolished over the last 10 years, this is a spit in the bucket. Doesn’t make it right but maybe I’m just numb at this point. They’ve proven will stop at nothing. But it’s an advertisement that for many people became a landmark and a “we are here” moment.

You’re evoking the same emotions over a billboard and yet no one here is calling you “soft.” We love different things and it sucks to see them strip away any of it.I'm gonna be honest, a lot of ya'll are soft. But with the insane emotions over the loss of a tv channel, it's not surprising.

I haven't gone on long tangents about the magic of this billboard. It sucks its leaving but, unlike you, it won't ruin the magic for me.You’re evoking the same emotions over a billboard and yet no one here is calling you “soft.” We love different things and it sucks to see them strip away any of it.
The monorail is past its expected lifespan and that doesn’t seem to bother them.I’m assuming it reached the end of its life/safety/show concern. They wouldn’t spend the money to remove it just for fun. They did try to repair it last year but it only worked for a few days before making a horrible screeching sound and was turned off again.
