Wonderful to see, and big kudos to Mickey and his friend for managing to greet, get in photos and still make it backstage. No sneaking off there lolBeautiful
One of the many reasons Disneyland is always superior. Mickey is literally going to people and high-fiving everyone.

Also a lot of the AK meet and greets are for Earth day
Yes, the random DAK characters are only here for Earth week.Could this also maybe be tied to the Earth Day Celebration? Just odd so many rare characters are out like that.
Russell from Up! was a pre-pandemic M&G, is he temporary as well?Yes, the random DAK characters are only here for Earth week.
I honestly love when the U.S. Disney Parks decide to bring in some of the lesser-known Disney Characters for guests to meet in public instead of being reserved for special occasions (notably private events and a few DVC exclusive events). Gives me serious Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland vibes.Random family member is at Animal Kingdom and posted a picture of Gypsy from a Bugs Life....so they certainly went very random and obscure for today
Goodness, we hadn't seen Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed at Walt Disney World for a few years now.Kenai and Koda too.
Lion King hyenas are on the boats.

Yep I think that is correct. The good news it sure feels like all interactive Sightings (not the ones from top of buildings) are now M&Gs.

Just saying don't expect the distance characters to become permanent in the near future.I quite like some of the distanced characters, I hope they keep some of them. Especially characters on balconies like this or Tiana in New Orleans Square etc.

In an ideal world, they return all the previous M&G characters while also providing for the caravans/boats for other characters as streetmosphere. As has been said here previously...it’s going to take awhile to see more offerings return. Today is just the start of that, and expect to see some of the sightings and flotillas remain as is as they have scored very well during all of this.
Some of the “pop up” sightings were cute- Chip and Dale having a picnic, Pooh chasing butterflies, etc. I wouldn’t mind some of those types of things remaining.
Yeah, Disneyland sure has been getting more characters lately compared to WDW. They even brought back Bianca and Bernard for a Valentine's Day Themed Special Event.I was able to see way more characters at Disneyland this way than I ever did before.
