Here is a wrap-up of the current events at Walt Disney World for reference.

1. Global Neighborhood/Time Racers

Near Confirmation:

"Last week, we reported the closure of the AT&T Global Neighborhood and speculated as to whether it was a straight rehab or the installation of the rumored Time Racers post-show. Word is leaking out of Imagineering that it is indeed Time Racers. Time Racers, originally planned as a Spider-Man-type of attraction to run through what is now and will continue to be Spaceship Earth, has been re-Imagineered as a simulator-based post-show.

2. Seasonal Operation
  • Carousel of Progress - full operation
  • Timekeeper - open 10 am - 9 pm during Spring Break
  • Wonders of Life - may open during Spring Break
  • Aunt Pollys - reopened March 14

3. Rehabs
  • Main Street
Things are moving around. The east side of Main Street, up by Market House, will become a toy store. Clothiers just south of Casey's will become women's clothingl, while Athletic Club will be men's athletic wear. . . The pins and accessories from Expo Hall, along with the collectibles from Cinema, will get moved to Uptown Jewellers. Cinema will remain a video/DVD/CD location. The plush from Cinema will go into the new toy store at Market House.

  • Snow White's Scary Adventures - closed April 19 - May 21.
  • It's a Small World - closed June 7, 2004 - March 18, 2005
  • Haunted Mansion gift cart to return within a week
  • Mickey's Star Traders expected to reopen by Easter
  • Behind the Seeds tour discontinued through 2004
  • TriceraTop Spin to reopen March 16
  • Tomorrowland Stage
In early June, the Tomorrowland Stage is tentatively scheduled for demolition. It is expected that a temporary stage will be constructed in the same general area to help accommodate the Magic Music Days performers. The temporary venue, smaller than the current one, is expected to be closer to Carousel of Progress and angled more towards the Speedway. The Galaxy Palace Theatre continues to receive refurbishments and cleaning. It is still expected that a new, large-capacity indoor theater will be built by 2007, either over a filled-in 20,000 Leagues lagoon or in place of the Galaxy Palace Theater.

Thank you Grizz! When I read about the upcoming fastpass for indy speedway on Mouseplanet I almost cheered out loud! My kids love that ride and the line is always soooo long! The only people in that line should be parents and small children! Why would a teenager want to ride that!

So for me who doesn't like long lines and slow loading attractions, and for my kids who will get to ride it again:
:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Either way, can we delete the dead frog and dead bear pics ASAP. That's not something I wanted to see, yet it was forced upon my eyes simply because I was reading a thread.

Let's think a little before we post a picture that might disturb someone next time, eh?

I did no better - the frog is gone, and it has been requested that all bear pics are removed (i.e. if we quoted from the frog/bear photos, we should go back and edit the [ IMG ] links out.

Sorry, MSU - I totally get where you're coming from.
