But what makes the "Sum of All Thrills" at Epcot particularly interesting is that it offers a glimpse of what to expect in an even bigger attraction being built at Universal Orlando as part of that resort's highly anticipated Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Disney's Sum of All Thrills is by no means identical to Universal's Forbidden Journey. The Harry Potter attraction, which will be housed in a 15-story replica of Hogwarts Castle, will be a much larger, more lavish experience.
Universal's ride is also expected to be a type of "robocoaster," in which the robot arms advance along a track even as they swivel riders in various directions. The bases of the robot arms in the Sum of All Thrills are fixed in place.
The Wizaring World is scheduled to open sometime in the spring.
but does the sentinal do the same when they do an article about USF?Advocate, Devil's:
SoaT probably isn't worth a story all on its own. The fact that the same technology appears to be in use for a much bigger project in the works right up the road seems like a legitimate topic for a paper that covers the entire Orlando area.
Nice article. But you gotta love the shameless USF plug:![]()

that's okay, the cnn soat article, when talking about the trend toward interactive rides, referred to the 2 new toy story midway mania coasters that were both in california.
Why the heck is this little sub attraction getting so much attention??? In today's Wahington Post, Raytheon had a full page color ad promoting the attraction, and I also saw the CNN article. Even Reuters for goodness sake has an article on this thing. Anyone think Raytheon is doing it? I just can't see Disney going through THIS much effort to promote this.
Because, it is that good of an attraction.
Well, it certainly looks cool, but I don't know if its so good that just about EVERY major news agency needs to publish a full length, in depth article about it.
