If buying more than one AP-try to do 2 transactions- 1st one with photo pass add on, then purchase. After its done, do the remaining passes.
Too late for that unfortunately. I will check with guest services hopefully today and see if we can add it on, if not, oh well I guess....

Ticket services is who you ultimately might need to talk to, or the passholder helpdesk, but when it comes to swapping out tickets usually you end up holding for Ticket Services after holding for whoever else sent you there.

Well, I'm a Silver Passholder and don't expire until March. I was able to successfully get my fourth park reservation for 10/4. (Good thing I'm Silver with the ability to have park reservations on 10/1-3. You can't get those days with Pirate which is the closest pass to Silver.)

Edit: I thought I would be limited to one additional for a total of 4 altogether. Nope I get up to 4 additional. Total of 7.

Odd, I didn’t see them - but now that I think about it, we just have the reservation, she doesn’t have her park ticket yet, just a 1-day complimentary ticket. Guessing once the actual multi-day ticket is purchased, it should come up under the reservation?

Yeah, a valid ticket is needed even if booking through the Resort Stay bucket. If there's a valid 1-day complimentary ticket then I'm not sure why it wouldn't appear for at least 1 of the days you're trying to book unless there are blackout dates attached to the ticket. If there are no blackout dates on the ticket then it might require a phone call to get the other person added to the Park Pass reservation. I hate when companies do that - "Here's a voucher for a free thing! Good luck trying to redeem it!"

Just a heads up, I don’t know if this has already been discussed, but, if you upgrade an existing ticket to an AP your previous park pass reservations go away, and you have to pick from the passholder availability. Found that out today and was told to just upgrade my ticket on the last day of my trip instead

I wouldn't worry about that too much unless there is no Passholder availability for the days you have booked. If there's Passholder availability and you don't upgrade until your last day, then you've lost out on multiple days of Passholder discounts for food and merchandise.

when you do this you miss out on all the discounts just for the 1/1000000 chance the day is blocked out. Which has yet to happen. Dont let disney steal your money upgrade before hand and use the discounts.

Yea problem is I’m going the weekend of the 50th, which is blocked out. I have a 4 day ticket that I wanted to use to upgrade to a pass, I just now added a 1 day ticket, so I may just upgrade it for the day I’m going earlier in the week and then see if I can add the value of the 4 day afterwards.

I know I have asked this before, but those who have bought the new annual passes. Does the expiration date start when you use the pass or when the pass is purchased?

It was assumed before that it was when you use the pass but wanted to verify.

I upgraded an existing, unused park hopper to the AP. You now get one year to activate an AP. You don’t have until 2030. But if you are upgrading an existing ticket, you get 365 days from the date of the original purchase. I bought my park hopper 2/6/21 so I must activate my pass by 2/5/22 (not an issue). I can’t make park reservations past 2/5/22 until I activate the pass. Just an FYI for anyone upgrading a previously purchased ticket to an AP.

The interface for making a park reservation has had quite an overhaul. Before, when we made a reservation while having an annual pass and a resort reservation it would default to pulling from the resort “bucket”. This wasn’t usually a problem, but on our last trip DHS was completely out for our entire trip for the resort bucket, but still available for the AP bucket. To use the AP bucket I had to call in and their IT had to explicitly give us park passes from the AP bucket.

Now, when you have an AP and resort reservations, you first choose whether you’re making a park reservation as just an AP holder, or one associated with a resort stay. Then, if you choose resort stay, you have to choose which resort stay it will be linked to. This all makes it much more obvious how these are linked, alleviating some of the edge cases where people were changing hotel reservations and losing park reservations, but then does add complexity to the already complex planning process.
A good change!

Hum... this makes me wonder if that could be what is going on w/ the AP I was able to (re)purchase during the "outage". it has an expiration date of 1 year from the date it was purchased (though I had to go back and fix that b/c when I walked out it was set for expiration that day, thankfully I tested reservations and noticed). I thought it was just b/c that's how they were gonna do it, allowing me to purchase one when I didn't renew, but new purchases were closed. However when it came to the Rat previews, I wasn't coming up, so I suspected maybe that was b/c it wasn't used yet, since I haven't gone since I purchased it (bought it to make sure I'd be covered later as it was still crickets on the status of passes). I guess we'll see if the expiration updates when I do go for the first time week after next.....

So has anyone gotten through the phone line today after 7am? I try every 30min -an hour and they are just shut down. So has someone from 7am been on hold all day?

I called at 7 am and then had to call back at 1 pm and got through in 30 min. I had to dial like 5x to connect.

Has any resale DVC owner tried to buy the Sorcerer Pass? I have noticed that everything thing that Disney has put out about the pass never mentions having to have the blue card. It only says DVC owners.
