Has any resale DVC owner tried to buy the Sorcerer Pass? I have noticed that everything thing that Disney has put out about the pass never mentions having to have the blue card. It only says DVC owners.
They more or less mean blue card. You either need to call MS or log in to be able to purchase, so you can give it a shot and see how it goes. Whether they ask for anything special at activation I don't know.

So I called. I have two DVC member numbers. I accidentally gave the number from my more recent purchase and was told I couldn’t get the Sorcerer Pass. Then I remembered, gave the older member number, and was allowed to buy my pass. So they are verifying eligibility. You need the blue card.

I just think it’s funny that when my pass was active, it was completely hit or miss if I’d get a timely email (or one at all!) about pass holder events or opportunities… but oh hey D wants me back in and I get two emails within an hour of passes going live.
I got one this morning, too. Nope. 😂

Just a heads up, I don’t know if this has already been discussed, but, if you upgrade an existing ticket to an AP your previous park pass reservations go away, and you have to pick from the passholder availability. Found that out today and was told to just upgrade my ticket on the last day of my trip instead
Which is convenient for Disney, since you don't receive any of the benefits in that situation.

What a cluster...and a good indicator of the reliability of Genie+.

Has anyone “upgraded” a ticket from a past trip where GR noted their account yet? Curious if Disney is actually going to honor anything about those or not.

I upgraded an existing, unused park hopper to the AP. You now get one year to activate an AP. You don’t have until 2030. But if you are upgrading an existing ticket, you get 365 days from the date of the original purchase. I bought my park hopper 2/6/21 so I must activate my pass by 2/5/22 (not an issue). I can’t make park reservations past 2/5/22 until I activate the pass. Just an FYI for anyone upgrading a previously purchased ticket to an AP.
This is interesting. My sister is planning to upgrade her tickets, but they were bought more than a year ago. I wonder how they’ll deal with that?

I’m sure there will be a workaround. I gather what they are trying to do is guarantee your price for one year. After that, you wouldn’t lose the money already spent; you‘d just pay that year’s price increase to activate. They clearly were just a bit sloppy with their coding. Surprised?

Random question for those of you who had platinum passes. Does your account still say platinum pass? I activated my voucher on Saturday and used my pass every day including this morning. When I went back to the park in the evening, it wouldn’t let me in. I went to guest relations and they told me they fixed it. I went to look at my account tonight and now it says Incredi-Pass with PhotoPass downloads. Any reason why I should care about that?

Mine still says Platinum Renewal, but I wouldn't be worried about what it's called. Incredipass with photopass is the same thing.

Clarification: this ONLY applies to converted vouchers from the old program. New vouchers have a 365 day clock to activate.

Was wondering as my passes show an expiration of 12/31/2099. I finally read the E-mail that gave me my tickets and it does mention that the voucher is good for one year from purchase, after that, it converts to cash value to use towards a pass at whatever the current price point/program is.

here is what they wrote in the E-mail:

Pass certificates expire one year from purchase. After one year, the amount paid for an unused, expired pass certificate may be applied towards the purchase of a new pass at current prices so long as the new pass purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original pass certificate.

Anyone know the magic numbers to press for calling? I have done 4>2 for buying new pass but since I am trying to upgrade tickets they always have to transfer me to ticket service.. like what numbers do I hit for that? I was on the phone 6:59 and got a girl right away but after transfer it's been an hour so far :(

There is no direct number for ticket services. You have to be transferred to them from inside and wait it out. You did the best you can at this point.

Ouch. Good luck whichever you choose. I've got to assume by now you're close to the front of the line.
Yup got a cm.. just for her to put me on hold and tossed me back into the queue.. like what are the downsides of just canceling my current tickets and purchasing a AP that way? Are they not refundable? Stand alone tickets not a package.
