News Walt Disney World theme parks increase capacity but see longer waits and less physical distancing

I’m a healthcare worker and I fear this virus, that’s a load of bull. I know what I need to do to protect myself and have a duty to treat those that have it and do so willingly but you better believe I fear it coming home or having my family get it.
It’s because you are not a cold-hearted human being. The world would be a better place if everyone in healthcare was like you.

I certainly appreciate everything you do for us!

In the Parks
No
If you keep 6 foot distancing in the queue but increase park capacity you might run out of room for lines even if each line moves faster because you increased ride capacity.
Oooh, I can help with that.

It’s very hard to be first with a very rushed undertested vaccine
Can you give specific examples of how any of the vaccines and/or vaccine candidates were rushed and under tested? Please provide the criteria from the FDA or any other similar agency or even industry standard that was changed or removed.

Kind of absurd to speak in hyperbole and generalizations, then when people call you on it simply pivot, deflect, and pretend the earlier comment never happened.
I should have prefaced the first statement with most. Ok I changed it. I don't see any fear when I go to work. We take precautions and do our job. I work at 9 different hospitals. I do talk to my co-workers. The poster didn't call me on it. He said he was afraid. Ok so now we have one afraid healthcare worker.

It normally takes about 5 years to develop a vaccine. I'm just reporting why people are hesitant. You are convinced it's going to be safe and effective. You convince me since you want me to take it.

I don’t care what you do but you are offering validation to unsubstantiated claims. The data regarding the efficacy and safety of the vaccines has been published. You are the one claiming that information is deficient so the burden of proof is on you to demonstrate that deficiency.

I don't need validation of anything. I'm just pointing out why so many are hesitant to get the vaccine. I've never told anyone not to get the vaccine. I don't need to prove anything I don't care if people get it or not.

-Nearly every vaccine side effect in the history of vaccines occurs or starts to manifest in the first two weeks after injection. Phase 3 trials have shown that minor side effects are common (sore arm, etc) moderate effects are a possibility (fever, generalized weakness/fatigue, “flu like symptoms”) but short lived (1-2 days,) and severe reactions (anaphylaxis) is rare. While there are more moderate side effects from this vaccine compared to others, said side effects are actually signs your immune system is responding to the vaccine.

-While the Moderna vaccine and Pfizer vaccine are using a new vector (mRNA) the half life of mRNA is measured in hours (which means it will be gone from your body in days) and the protein it makes and places in your blood stream has a half life of 3-4 days (which means it too will be gone in a matter of 1-2 weeks.). Which is to say, long term side effects from the vaccine are incredibly unlikely.

-The big reason it’s on EUA is that we don’t know how long the vaccine will protect you yet, but for the foreseeable future (months) it will protect you. That’s really the hold up with full approval, not it’s safety.

This statement right here is a big reason why we are still in this pandemic.

You are in healthcare and feel this way about a vaccine that would protect us from more unnecessary sickness. Especially since you say you are not the only one in healthcare that feels this way. Highly disturbing.

Yikes.
I’ll leave the moral shaming up to you. You are very good at it. It’s not in my personality to go around telling other people what to do. We all got our roles and that’s not mine.

That and politics are the sole reasons.

I’m less and less convinced you work in healthcare.

You sound more like you work at a car shop in Decatur, Georgia
I always figured you worked at 7 eleven. The low self esteem is why you try to act superior to everyone.
Mom said to be nice you know.

I am not a mechanic and don’t live in Georgia and don’t know if the poster you are responding does either, but I’m pretty sure the kind of arrogance you are displaying is a whole different kind of virus that has been spreading for a while now and is also dangerous.

I want the vaccines to be taken and get us to herd immunity ASAP and you and others with the same kind of nose-up-in-the-air holier than thou attitude are making things worse.
Try on a little humility and see how it fits.

Not sure if this has been posted by starting January 7th any Canadian that travels out of the country by air must have a negative Covid test 3 days before boarding. If they fail to do so they won't be allowed on the plane home. Many Canadians see this a positive as it will not only make people have second thoughts about traveling but it will help stop people coming back into Canada sick.

Stay tuned to the events (stupidity) that are going to roll out this week.

Your opinion won’t age well. That’s my opinion.

Here’s what’s not an opinion: downplaying the health situation on a travel forum is not wise.

I withdrew the comment. My Shields were down and I have tried to be fair these last 316 months of the pandemic to you. That’s in the record.

And there ain’t nuttin wrong with working the graveyard shift on the slurpee machine 😡
