The indian village is in dire need of fixing as well, they have just let it go with no attention in I dont know how long. And while were at it put the music back in the narration. Between this and the people mover narration so much originality and details have been taken flat out, whoever is making these decisions,,,heads need to roll.

News flash. Just got the real inside scoop from an entertainment manager and a food and beverage manager I know. The bridge refurb is just a cover story. What is really going to happen is real sad or exciting depending on your point of view. They really are going to refurb the bridges but will at the same time convert all three of the stations to a Starbucks since the one on Main Street is having mass crowds and a lin out the door all day long. But you can only get a Starbucks with a MY Magic Minus sweat band and only if you fast passed it 90 days before arrival. On the good side cinamon rolls will also be on the fast pass advance menu.

Almost forgot the biggest part of the rehab, my bad. The installation of the NextGen Engineers.

Right. It really doesn't compare to the Disneyland Railroad. DLRR is a must-do each time we are in California. WDWRR...no so much...

Agreed. But I think this is more than just a mandatory rehab to fix old bridges. George Kalogridis seems to be ramping up rehabs all over the place. It is quite apparent he is trying to bring a Disneyland level of showmanship and maintenance and quality to the older WDW attractions. This is good news! :)

I haven't heard anything on the status of Lilly Belle. Assuming she's still in a million parts at Strasbourg. :( Has anyone heard what has caused the refurb to be so long? Other than funding issue. I hope she doesn't have a cracked cylinder saddle.

Seems to be true. I'm going back in November. I may not recognize the place.:)

That sure would be nice. I was really surprised during my first visit to Disneyland (and subsequent trips) how many little things there were that made the experience really stand out. I mean, there were lots of big things too, but the little things are what we really noticed. I don't make it out there to DL as much as I make it to WDW, so raising the showmanship bar in Florida would be great.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I really wish there would be something done to make this more of a real attraction unto itself, rather than just a mode of transportation that is difficult to access.
Isn't that funny. I think it's a marvellous attraction (to be ridden multiple times each trip) but a lousy means of transportation.

I think it's lousy at both, but I usually ride it at some point when I decide to take a rest. To each his/her own.

Glad it will be open by out trip in November (barring any pushbacks). My son's new obsessions are trains. His little face just lights up and we were looking forward to getting him on it.
