Went on Spaceship Earth this evening with my sister...
During the screen thing at the end it snapped my photo... and for some reason instead of snapping hers... It took my medal and like... mirrored it and made this abonimation that accompanied me in all the animations-
Notice one half that that image is my medal lanyard and sunglasses... and it made a mirror image of it or something. We were cracking up the whole time.

As most people know this is my first Dopey Challenge, and to be honest I’m disappointed about tomorrrow. I will say I’m happy they didn’t outright cancel it as I was fearing that. This still doesn’t invalidate dopey for me as I think the marathon should be run as normal.
Weather permitting I may run the remaining miles after the race just so I can actually say I ran the required amount of miles. This is all dependent on how things go tomorrow. I was really looking forward to running through MK but I guess I’ll just have to wait another day.
So far, Dopey has been fun and I’m excited to see how the rest of this weekend goes.

Yes!! Run the miles afterwards. Do it!
We shall see. Florida is going to get slammed with severe weather this weekend. The Florida Panhandle is looking at severe weather overnight.

Sunday seems like the weather will be fine for the marathon. At least according to my weather apps. No?
Correct. The bad weather is coming through tonight and tomorrow AM...94% chance of rain and thunderstorms tomorrow AM. The end of the race will be sketchy, according to local weather. I imagine you'll be told to get your medals and get to your resort bus or car. Sad because today was lovely.
Start Sunday AM will be chilly.

I feel like they should run the corrals faster than normal. Not sure why they are leaving the closing times the same.
Who knows? If rD is advancing the start time by 15 minutes, one would think the closing times would also move up. But doesn't look like resort buses will start running earlier.

They mention this on the digital event guide. Agreed though who knows what will actually happen.
This earlier race start time will not affect Start Group Open/Close times or pre-Race Transportation.

Very true. The Panhandle has been told to expect severe weather that could include both waterspouts and tornadoes.
Idiots over on Twitter are complaining about the shortened course. "It's just a little rain. Why not let runners go and shorten the course of needed?" (a) Must not live in Florida. (b) Must not understand the logistics of getting thousands of runners off a course and into shelter in a severe thunderstorm.

seriously injured due to some weather related issue?
It sucks, there is no way around it but if the weather is what it says then it’s the right move. I’m happy it wasn’t totally cancelled that would have probably changed my outlook on Dopey as a whole. I believe this is salvageable though.

I’ve been part of a shortened Wine and Dine course. It stinks!! Especially when they force you indoors as a runner and shorten the course, but theme parks remain open on property.
I understand the principle. But don’t understand the hypocrisy.

Was it the 2018 or 2019 Marathon weekend that the Half was cancelled, due to very bad weather? If I remember, an ice storm came through the Panhandle the day before. I've got photos of icicles hanging from my roof.
