Not true. If you stop and take one of the buses to the finish, they will give you a medal for the event. I know someone that did it and
they were told "you paid for it".

I don't think you understood what I typed. We are saying the same thing. I was not very clear to be truthful lol

If you walk off the course without alerting anyone "by their rules" you will not get a medal.

That was the point I was making - there's a difference between being swept, whether by rD staff or voluntarily, or just stopping your race and walking off the course if you're in park that buses are running. One gets you a medal, the other just a ride back to your room.

BTW, are you recovered?

Right, I understood you.

Yes I feel fine, I actually ran to catch a bus at Disney the afternoon after the marathon..

I have not "run" yet mainly because of the weather here, but I have been on the elliptical every day.

Thanks for asking, looks I might be headed to DL for my birthday. My wife has some surprise cooked up for me (for the big 5-0) and based on some things I have seen I am pretty sure I am headed that way...At this point if it's a cake of the month club I'll be crushed.

What is up with today and the random onslaught of news. Maybe it’s because of the State Farm announcement?
Nothing was really announced it was just an updating of the website. They had to announce registration at some point too. It is also Princess week so runDisney staff extra on top of things this week.

I guess I got lucky. I ran the 2018 Marathon and didn't sign up until May of that year.
I also signed up around the same time for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020 & 2022.

I agree but this updating of the site, kinda is an indirect announcement. Not that I’m complaining. Just didn’t expect all the news today.

Since we're talking about schedules, here's the registration dates for the 2022-23 races.

April is going to be expensive.

I’m planning on running all these in some form. It’s just a matter of what is virtual and what isn’t.

Right now (and this can change as nothing is set in stone). I’m looking at possibly running Wine & Dine and Springtime in person. Depending on how things work out.

Yep, looks like the one pre-Covid registration I was a part of was April 11, 2019 (for 2020 Marathon, confirmed looking back at page 160 of this thread), so this seems like they’re going back to roughly that schedule.
I believe 2019 was supposed to be April but they switched vendors for processing and it ended up being June or so.
