So your saying that Disney should have leveraged Feld to help design this show? The experts....
25 to 30 years ago there would have been experts within WDE to design and execute this at an appropriate level... Eisner disestablished it in 01 because he was too afraid of it, thus entertainment, becoming a "fiefdom" that could actually resist cuts permanently, instead of the last 20 years or so before that point. And all the experts flew away with time.

Curious if there was a reason behind changing the music? I don’t see it as a major change that would draw more people to watch the parade. If they had added new floats then yes. I hope a brand new parade along with BTY is in the pipeline.

I hope not. I love MOUCP and BTY

Im not sure what the general consensus is but I think the new music in Once Upon A Christmastime is atrocious. The original was way better. Was there really a need to change this?

I love the new music

As someone who wasn't super familiar with this parade I didn't know the music was changed till I looked at this thread and I think it sounds fine, I went back and listened to the old one and thought it sounded better but I'm sure this soundtrack will grow on people and they'll like when they get used to it. Or not and they'll hate for the end of time but I doubt that.

Maybe Disney changed the music to make some dislike the parade so it’s easier for them to replace it entirely in a year or two lol. Boo To You will probably be next for a new soundtrack.

I dont hate the new version but I also agree with others the original music was better. It had a better flow and more of a special feel to it.

I mean no offense, but Disney theme park experiences should be designed to be a hit at the first experience, as a sizable chunk of guests will only experience it once. They won't have an opportunity to 'get used to it' as they go home and don't return for many years, if ever.

I see what you mean but most of the people who don't like the new soundtrack are people who have been going for years and already know the old soundtrack. As someone who didn't know the old soundtrack very well I thought it sounded good and I liked it and I think that's how most people will feel. Music is extremely subjective and this just debuted so it's hard to tell how people generally feel so far. I've found most of the reception from at least the fans has been negative but that's how a lot of fans feel when they change something. People don't like change in general.

I like this better than a whole different Soundtrack and Parade Name!

DL hasn't done a thing to ACF's soundtrack since it started in1995!

We'll see how TDL ends Christmas Stories.......

They really must need to draw people this holiday season. That Frozen Holiday Show was just cheesy.

Let’s go Dreamlights! Now or never.

It's been 5 years.
Disneyland got their Dreamlights back, so why not WDW! I know the guests complained that 'the crane' ruined their pictures...maybe take a picture that doesn't show the crane--DUH.
Why does disneyland get their dreamlights and not WDW? I am sure they use a crane to put theirs up as well and get the complaints...so what's different? The company obviously shows favoritism to the Cali parks!

We need to start calling Disney out on things like the Dreamlights going into Disneyland and not WDW! Its because of things like this is the reason I am heavily considering NOT GOING to WDW on my Florida Vacation!

My hope is they return next year. With the new Starlight Parade coming online next year and seeing the castle lights during the parade would look amazing! I miss that view with Spectro and MSEP.

I smell a revenue opportunity here...

"Disney's Picture Fixer Plus! Starting at just $59.99, Disney will use the power of magic (and AI) to MAGICALLY!!! erase any cranes from your invaluable family photos in front of Cinderella Castle!!!"

Does DLR have projections on their castle?
