Actually was kind of glad those big glaring bright screens didn't return. However on another note from the various locations I saw none of the Epcot restaurants got a decor package like they use to. None. Maybe inside Germany? anyone know? Not a good sign for the resorts but will see.

Very weird because the Fantasmic! billboard is there and ready to be used anytime, its just currently being covered by a F! branded-tarp. Unlike the one on the left side near Fairfax Faire which requires extra setup and equipment.

I'm sorry, but I just loathe the way these are filmed nowadays..There’s no charm, no excitement, The Hough's are just as cold and bland as the performers butchering the Christmas songs......

It needs to be back like this....

I cannot agree more. Even though your clip was only of the intro, I remember those parades. They were awesome live. The energy was much more kinetic and real.

Yacht Club got a bit more decorations compared to the last few years, but still a bit below 2019 levels. Again, it’s the restaurants that still aren’t back to full levels. Haven’t been able to explore the parks or other resorts yet to see what’s going on property wide. I just don’t get the reasoning. Is it cost of materials? Cost of labor to install? Less overall holiday services cast to maintain/refurbish everything? Yacht Club is missing maybe a total of a dozen wreaths and trees to be back up to 2019 levels. I just don’t get what the reasoning is. Either way, an email to GR is being drafted to voice disappointment.

More of the usual “who?” performers that we’ve come to expect during the Reign of Bob. One or two recognizable names and the rest are known to about 17 people. Not sure where The Smashing Pumpkins came from this year, though, that is surprising. And I’m absolutely, genuinely shocked about them using the Fantasy over the Wish.

I keep hoping for something different than the usual infomercial with a bunch of D-list performers but I’m let down annually. It will be yet another “pass” from me this year. There’s always YouTube.

Last year‘s Run DMC performance with the Black Eyed Peas was great. I agree that the Hough’s as hosts leave much to be desired.

Why are you "shocked" about them being on the Fantasy instead of the Wish? Maybe they could have used the Wish as a tie in to their new movie? That would make sense to me. But maybe they went with the Fantasy because they would have more time to film during a 7 day Fantasy Merrytime cruise than on the Wish.

Disney Imagineers designed a 25-Foot wide Mary Blair-inspired 100th Celebration-themed Gingerbread Castle

Maybe it looks better in person? Seems joyless and flat and like it is just a prop to sell their holiday treats... At least the Grand Floridian display feels whimsical and charming... this is more like a billboard. I am sure it was a lot of work...and kudos to the team that built it.

They have very limited space at contemporary because of the stupid gift shop they built in the middle of the concourse, so they definitely have the least dimensional display of all

It’s the same as last year. Just diff paint it’s boring to say the least. Not much to the creative mind. Here is the pic I took last December.

Movie tie-ins, they could have dressed it up for one cruise with lots of Christmas decor, they'd be selling advertising their newest, most expensive ship... Lots of opportunity for synergy wasted there. And the company tends to rarely waste those opportunities, in case you hadn't noticed.

So yes, it's rather shocking.
