While I do think its ridiculous that people use the iPads to take photos (they are terrible, they look like the photos we used to have in cameras 15 years ago, but I suppose they are good enough for Facebook which is what 95% of the users want), I do think you need to get used to it -- they are here to stay. You are not going to see them disappear from the parks, or anywhere else, anytime soon. They have become a part of people's entertainment experience -- and Disney even has apps directly on the iPad for use INSIDE the parks...as do most other theme parks now.
Though I have to agree that it annoys me no end when people record the shows, with ipads, iphones, blackberrys or anything else -- I do not think that any cast members remain inside the theater at most of the shows anymore -- they used to station one inside to deal with stuff like this, but I don't think they do anymore. Also, I don't think any cast member is going to jump in and tell anyone to stop anything as long as a) they are not using flash, and b) nobody has complained to them about it. What would you do for 8.35 an hour, get into a loud verbal hassle with a Brazillian in a crowded theater?
As to the parades -- you won't have to worry about that much longer -- once the reservation system for places to watch begins in the next few months via My Disney Experience, you will have other issues to deal with.
