Yes
Out of curiosity, did this dissuade you from buying one? Or do you still plan to?
I’m still going to get it, I originally had the weekday pass due to my scheduling, but this time around I plan on upgrading to the silver.

AP price increases in October? I hate to say I told you so, but... I told you so. :(

With this, methinks they are pushing to finish SW:GE in the swamps to open in November 2019, possibly before Thanksgiving(?).

Definitely. I'm sure they also want to capitalize on the opening of the next theatrical episode, especially with this next film expected to be more of an ending, in ways.

As someone who buys the cheapest AP, I still say they need to stop the rampant increases. At least we had a heads up before the March increase, and I bought my current pass then. Twice in one year is not justified under present conditions.

We have the same ones you guys do, I think - Fla weekday, right? I grabbed ours back in Jan, knowing they raise prices early in year. I'm actually surprised they kept the free parking perk and super thankful, given $25 parking now charged in all the parks. We sadly ended our tradition of staying onsite after they added resort parking fees. So overall, I still feel pretty good about WDW trip value for our situation. But if I was visiting from out of state, I'd definitely be opting for other vacations until the next economic crash when the deals would start flowing again.

I almost feel they are testing how far they can go with the AP prices. I was ok with the food increases but $1,000 for an AP is aggressive.
We love our passholders money!

I think you all are forgetting something important. Passholders have a SPECIAL PHONE NUMBER that leads to the same generic call center teams.
Surely, that's a valuable perk well worth all the increases, yes?

Don't forget about 1 X 1 Cutting Board.

Stop dancing. Peg legs become weapons when flailed about like that.

Trust me, I'm not dancing over this. :grumpy:

I'm still expecting another AP price increase in February, as well. Maybe they won't try their luck but... we know better by now. The $1000 barrier may be broken for Platinum (not Platinum Plus, that one will shatter $1k next time) with the next price increase. I hope I'm not right with that one, as I'm guessing it'll be more around $950 for Platinum (probably $944, the way their goofy pricing goes...).

So sorry. I saw you dive to chum the water over the price increase and mistook it as a dance move.

Disney will keep increasing the prices. Twice a year is nuts though. I'd love to burn the hair off of the little pocket protector wearing accountant who thought this was a great idea. At this point I'll be buying nothing more than a 3 or 4 day pass going forward and splitting our trip between Disney and Universal. I must admit I'm in love with the new work they're doing over there.

Yes! We go when most people don't want to (or can't!)

I don't ever want to go on a weekend or in the summer!

I paid one night of parking fees so far, but it worked out in another way so I didn't complain (yet.) (Will post about it in my current TR when I get to it.) But generally, I've strategized to stay off property most of the time, and maybe splurge for on property (with the parking fee as part of the planned splurge) for special occasion trips only, or when we rent DVC.

No worries. There are few, if any, dance moves in this guy. ;)

At this point, with these prices, I'm not sure when I'm going to set foot in a WDW theme park again. :(

This is what keeps bringing me back, it's the magnets that I've never gotten. I keep renewing hoping that one day, I too will be able to spend my hard earned dollars advertising for Disney. :hilarious:

Full disclosure: I have the original Mickey, Epcot Minnie Mouse and HS Donald. I pine for Holiday Mickey, F&G Mickey, and F&W Chef Mickey. Can't wait to find out what holiday magnet awaits me in December. Oh, the anticipation.

Then you can also have your car targeted by thieves who steal the magnets and sell them to unsuspecting rubes on eBay. Double the magic!!! :hilarious:
