My wife and I arrived at Disney on Friday the 19th and they had it opened to the public for dress rehearsals.... It was pretty amazing to get to walk thru and ride the ride after following the construction for so long...I took some amazing pictures that I might be able to post when my phone charges :)

hey guys. i was at MK yesterday, i have annual passes and have been following this FLE for a while. when i saw WDW Magic posting pictures from INSIDE, i made sure to go there this weekend. I live over an hour away and when i arrived, they had the new fantasy land area blocked off for "dress rehearsals" with cast members. EVERYONE was walking up and being told that the area was close, but we could SEE people back there, which they assured us were all cast members or family of them (which was correct). HOWEVER, i did not drive up there to NOT see it. So i paced and paced, and then i decided i was going for it. I stood by the gate where they werent letting people through, and waited for a large group of cast members to EXIT. when they did, i took a quick look and just put my head down and walked in. NO one noticed. I spent 4 hours (without a wristband) inside the new FLE and i was amazed. I ate a gaston's tavern (best pork ive ever had by far), tried lefou's brew, loved it, and rode mermaid twice with NO wait. I entered the castle, spoke and listened to cast members explaining how the rooms were designed, etc. and I stayed until belles story time reopened (it was down for hours because "maurice was still tinkering") and i finally got in there as well. the wardrobe wasnt functioning but lumiere looked unbelievable. the entire area was amazing, and I (a recent college grad who is obsessed with Disney and imagineering, and am looking to be a part of this company) was completely blown away. I have a lot of pics and videos if anyone wants to see. I just couldnt hold in my excitement. I got to experience the entire open portion before its opening, and before the crowds. you guys cant believe how amazing this place is going to be.
My wife and I got to go in this past Friday and it really is amazing.....Can't wait for the Snow White Coaster :)

I got in last night after 7:00 since I had a ticket for Halloween party. But I think tonight CM previews might be going til later than 7:00. If you had a ticket for tomorrow's Halloween party, it's probably a good bet it would be open to party guests after 7.

You guys are making me reconsider getting tickets to the Halloween Party this year. We are there for the last party 11/02.

Per twitter... "@stitchkingdom: Additional @WaltDisneyWorld AP #NewFantasyland previews added for dates Nov 6-9 and 12-18, available Oct 29” if this is true I'll be so annoyed! Those dates are right in the middle of my trip...

Yeah, I was hoping for general public soft opens that second week. I'll have an AP, but I'll be the only one in my group, so that won't help my friends, and I won't have the AP until I actually get there because I'm upgrading an as-yet-unused ticket I already have, so I won't be able to sign up beforehand.

Here's the info from the Passholder landing page:

We are excited to share that we have added 11 new dates for New Fantasyland Previews for Passholders due to your interest in these opportunities. The additional dates are November 6-9 and 12-18, 2012 with multiple time slots throughout each day. Please click here to view the specific time slots.
We are finalizing the sign up process and will provide more details soon. If you already registered and have your email confirmation you do not need to take any further action.

The pdf with the times is here: http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...sholder_New_Fantasyland_Itinerary_Options.pdf

During the weekday, times include late-night slots like 9:30pm-1am which is interesting. The original signup had nothing later then like 5-8pm

It just doesn't seem fair to the ones that go once a year compared to AP's who can go whenever to see New Fantasyland... I get it, it's a perk of having one but that many dates?! Doesn't seem fair but that's life. I'm still excited for my trip regardless, was just hoping to atleast get to see this. /endrant

We were able to see it during MNSSHP October 25th. It was open from about 8pm to midnight. At the first sight of Ariel, our 3 year old daughter started yelling 'it's Ariel, it's Ariel!!!' Really was a nice bonus to the trip - now if only this hurricane can hold off throwing the showers on us for 1 more day.

I feel a little like Disney is extorting me into a MNSSHP ticket...

Agreed. I posted in another thread that as excited as I am to see this expansion (and I am not knocking it in ANY way) I am certainly not paying approximately $240 for my family to go on one new dark ride, see a storybook style meet & greet, and have a new QS option.

I mentioned the idea to my wife and she said, "Are you crazy?" I guess I am. Crazy enough to consider it. Not enough to do it.

I considered upgrading to an AP and usin that to get in then going one week earlier next year to use it again. Crazy? Maybe - but probably cheaper the paying for the party!!

For admission purposes, not crazy at all. That was my system when I used to go annually in December. The first year I'd go the second week of December, then the next year I'd go the first week and my AP would be expiring on the last day of my trip. Repeat again in Year 3 with a new AP.
(There were also occasional mid-year trips on the years I had the valid AP)

Getting the AP also opens up the possibility to get a Tables in Wonderland card for dining discounts.

I have considered it. But even if you upgrade there is no guarantee you'll get in. You have to pre-schedule to go to the AP previews.

.

Well it was open last night. On Friday I tried to get in but the preview was for cast member filiea and he told me to return for MNSSHP. I went back to MK last night and it was open. We got there around 9 and by the time we made it around to fantasyland it was open. We rode Ariwl's Grotto and were able to get a peak at the BE Our Guest Restaurant. Keep checking back and you might get lucky.
