Walls down - Fantasyland soft opening status

Is the new Fantasyland open to visitors on a day-by-day basis?

Will it be open for tomorrow's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party? If the entire area is not accessible to guests, will portions of the new land still be operating such as Gaston's Tavern?

Me and my family will be down there before the official opening and was wondering if they have the new section opened on a daily basis. I really want to see it and i am not going to make it down again until next November.

Does any have any of this information ?

Just got back to the room from the Magic Kingdom. Fantasyland expansion wasn't open earlier today because of the filming with Stacey, but it was open this afternoon. So, we came back in the afternoon. They did a great job. Lots of work going on at 7DMC. We rode Mermaid, it was fun (same as DCA, but the queue is really neat here in MK). Had a Lefou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern. Very nice little place to go and escape the day. And, as we were walking around enjoying ourselves, ran into John Lasseter who was apparently trying to keep a low profile and explore the new land. I spotted him, and a cast member confirmed it was him. So, I did what any of us would ahve done: I tried to get a casual picture of him, because I didn't want to get in his way and be "that guy." He had a contingent who recognized that I had recognized him, and they didn't seem too happy. So, we left and rode Haunted Mansion.

Oh yeah, and we were told that the quick service location in the Be Our Guest Restaurant might be open tomorrow. No idea if what we were told is correct.

I heard the earliest for Lunch at BoG is sunday for cast Previews, but obviously anything can change. I too got a chance to explore the expansion today, and thought it was quite lovely. Belle takes way too long, but it's nice, and mermaid is a great addition, and everything in the area is visually spectacular. Too bad I missed Lassiter!

Interesting that John Lasseter was trying to blend in and just be a usual guest. Thumbs up to him for pulling it off. I am sure most big disney geeks wold have recognized him, but the average Pixar movie fan probably has no idea what he looks like, or even knows his name.

Enchanted Tales with Belle is not currently running Fastpass, I don't believe it will feature traditional Fastpass, just Fastpass+. Under the Sea is running Fastpass Intermittently.

Many of the Times for cast Previews are late in the day, so I would be surprised if things were operating for day guests during any of the upcoming preview times. But I suppose it's possible.

Indeed, thumbs up for him pulling it off. The shorts and baseball hat really helped him blend. Several of the cast members had no idea (but a few did), the guy playing Gaston didn't break character (nor should he) and did a great job performing the heck out of the character with Lasseter watching.

Cast members in front of FLE tonight told us that it would not be open to the public during cast previews, including at night after previews end.

Probably not. That falls in the middle of DVC/AP Previews. The last one is November 11th, so I would expect it to reopen to day guests after that. Officially announced Soft opening is November 19th. You never know though!

I really hope you are right, we are in the MK for the day and MVMCP on the 15th
