I'm still empty-headed right now, so all of you with ideas, and those that are done, are kicking my butt right now.

I have decided NOT to use any 3D programs for my entry. Reading The Wierd One's post makes me realize it might not be fair. I will probably make one seperately just for kicks, though.

So, I will use only Photoshop. And as of right now, it doesn't even matter, 'cause I've got nothing upstairs!

Im still using 3d..but not as much as you guys are probobly thinking...im only doing it to save time actually..since i could do the same thing "hand drawn" in photoshop...it would just take a while...

good job so far guys ;)

I've changed my mind again. I'm gonna rebuild the ENTIRE resort in Maya by the deadline. Inside and out. It will involve over 1 million vertices:drevil:, 357,000 faces, and over 595,000 edges. I'll use at least 96 lights, some atmospheric fog, and then I'll animate it with motion blur at production quality. Should take me about an hour or so. Think I'll win?

Yaay!!!!! This is such a good topic!!!!!! Mine (when complete) will be dedicated to my mom. She wants me to make a really nice wallpaper for her computer at work (at Disney!), and Poly is her favorite resort. I already have a stock of photos of the pool and of monorails "posing" in front of the resort. Now I just need pics of the actual resort! (To be taken tomorrow after work.):)

Gimp Is great once you get the hang of it... I use it, cause, I do not want to spend 700 bucks for photoshop:D

Another Disney 'attraction' I know nothing about.. been to the world 4 times in 4 vacations (last time independantly on my honeymoon) and still have not stayed at the Poly. Unless you guys are getting spectacular rates on rooms, I don't see the advantage of spending all that money to stay at a hotel you will probably just be sleeping in anyway. Don't know about you, but I sleep with my eyes closed and am lucky to actually be conscious in any hotel room for an hour or two a day. :) The rest of my vacation time I am out of the hotel enjoying everything else anyway. Don't get me wrong.. if the price were right, I'd book me a room and see what all the hollering is about in regard to Disney hotels. Unless I can think of what to possibly create for a wallpaper, I am out this one. So far, everyone has come up with nice stuff. I've got nuttin' at the moment. :)

Hey DisneyJedi,

I have to disagree with you about the unimportance of where you stay at WDW. One of my favorite things about going to WDW is staying at the nice resorts. I could easily spend a week just lounging at the pools at the Poly. Not to mention the fact that you have the monorail and a great view of the castle and the fireworks at night. I'm not really into spending everyday completely at the parks, I really love just hanging at the resort sometimes. You are right about it being expensive though, but for my stay this July, I got a great rate of about $190 a night. Well worth every penny. Trust me, It is a completely different experience when you go to WDW and stay at a WDW resort. But thats just my opinion. :animwink:

We thought about staying there...but for the cost, we could stay at least twice as long at the all stars........I only sleep at the hotel anyway (naps by the pool included ) :)
