Wallpaper Contest #19

Ok, Maegan has been begging me to let her enter her drawing. So I'm posting it here for her. I think she did a very good job (remember she's 9 :animwink: ). She had a lot of fun with this. Anytime we have contests she really enjoys it and makes things on her own, but this time I'm letting her add her drawing to the bunch. Here it is.....

(I know a lot of you have kids, this is a great thing to let them do. You should let your kids mess around with the programs and enter also. I know she's excited just to see her picture posted on the forums )

Ah, I see what you're saying. Lets see, the difference is that we'll all get to vote twice.....sooooo.....hmmmmmm

Here is the problem with the 2 seperate polls. Say there are 2 groups of 10. There will most likely be the same amount of votes in each poll, because each person gets to vote twice, once in each poll.

I'm only trying to avoid it being unfair, because someone could say, well, I was stuck in this group of 10, and there were 3 wallpapers that hogged all the votes, so nobody else got any.

The situation is kind of a mess, and really, there's no way to avoid that particualr problem. It doesn't matter which way we do it. So, lets just let the top 6 vote getters from ALL of the wallpapers, regardless of which poll they're in, advance to the final poll.

Because the two of you made different papers, I'll allow both into the voting. Even though Maegan is technically not a registered member, I think we can all agree that her paper deserves to be in the voting, right?

LOL Thanks Zac. She thinks she's already a winner just to get to see her entry at the boards. She's been dancing around here lol. (she doesn't have to be in on the voting :animwink: she just had a blast doing it!)


Yes, that was her hidden Mickey! LOL She did it all on her own except for me posting it. I noticed that little hidden Mickey too haha (notice her Logo *grins*)

To be honest Turbo... that is very nice. Very Very nice. Simple is sometimes the best way to go... I don't know about some of you, but each time I see a new post I get little goosebumps now, we are churning out so many great ideas and all different. Maegan's was really good as well. Everyone's is... I'm glad we will have semi-final rounds this time, so more people can get a chance for votes and then the final six can really get some high numbers.

This is just sooo exciting.

Ya know, this is contest number 19, and I think it's evolved for the better with each passing contest. And I really think this is another step we should take in removing all negativity from the contests.

From this point on, if we have more than 15 entries, there will NO LONGER be a single person deciding who gets into the final 15. There will be a semi-final round as in this contest, so EVERYONE will have a chance in the voting.

The other great thing is that now people have an opportunity to vote for theirs and one other. Although I'm not sure I will vote for mine this time, I see some that I really like.

Thank you jamie. I actually do like it a lot. It does kind of stink doing graphic designing with a LCD screen. So I wasn't sure if it looked good. lol

is actually my first foray into the world of Adobe Photoshop software. (I just purchased Photoshop yesterday... so I've been using it less than a day now, less than 24 hours...)

Anyway...

Included in my entry are THREE Hidden Mickeys... (THREE, count them, THREE!) ... including one in the form of a Mickey Mouse Ears hat

I took a class earlier this year ('twas required for a sorta certificate program thingy ) but I never really had a chance to toy around with it er- spontaneously until yesterday

I just had to include a manatee too...

after all... I adopted a manatee a few years ago!

Ok, I think I've found two mickeys, but the last one I'm having problems on. I'm here with my daughter AND mom both looking at it! lol and they both say it's someplace else, but I can't see what they are pointing at. So can you give me a hint? I don't want to spoil it for the others who haven't found it (Please! pm me ) lol
