Does anyone else clear out their wallet when they travel?
I was paying for something today, and it occurred to me how many things currently in my wallet I'll be leaving at home when I travel in December.
Like, I won't bring my library card, gas station card, movie rewards card, etc.
Ladies, same question as to your purse or whatever.

For this trip, using a washable, silver Kipling Syro for my incidentals and an extra diaper change and snack. I got a small Kipling wallet (also washable) last trip that will have DL, health card, AAA card, Disney ticket and money only. I also always carry my lucky pound (will get back over the pond one day)

I have a special Mickey wallet that I only use on Disney trips. I usually put my debit and credit cards, as well as IDs and insurance cards and whatever cash I may bring. I usually take a good chunk of our money we're bringing and put it on a Disney gift card and throw that in there, too.
And then of course tickets and room keys go in there once we check in.

As for bags - I usually bring a few to use throughout the trip. Luckily I live near a Vera outlet so I always go when they have 50 % off outlet prices and grab a new bag or three. I've got a small crossbody that I use if we're going out and I don't want to bring an extra lens and just wear my camera. But now that I have more lenses, I'll be using this backpack (in Va Va Bloom because it reminds me of the goodbye scene in "it's a small world"). I bought it specifically for this next trip:

I have a lens rented with Kingdom Camera Rentals so I probably will only bring one of my additional lenses with me in the parks. The backpack is small, but comfy and it's tight enough to pack my camera in should it rain and it won't get bumped around. And it has a few pockets inside for my phone, my portable phone charger, wallet, gum, etc. I've packed and repacked it to make sure everything would fit.

My cross over purse is being modified at the moment... I'm adding my camera holder to it so I dont have to worry about squeezing my camera into the tight bag. It's tight because my ipad mini fits perfectly in the back (you'd never know it was there unless I told you!) and I'm a bit of a camera junkie... need to have three extra batteries plus a spare memory card and won't leave home without it all.

The wallet is staying home. My gift cards, debit card, cash, ID, health insurance card are all I'm carrying instead of the full wallet with 900 customer loyality cards and such. No credit cards (don't have any!) so thats one less to worry about.

Also adding a piece of soft fabric to the cross over strap so its more comfy on the neck/shoulder!

At Disney World, I ditch my usual "Mom Bag" and carry a completely different (much smaller, cross-body) purse, just large enough to fit a small flip wallet, a mini first-aid kit, my sunglasses and a camera. The flip wallet has only my ID, health insurance card, and a couple of credit cards. I keep our KTTW cards in a zipper pocket on the outside of the purse, for easy access. That's it -- we love traveling light!

Last trip, I carried just a lanyard with the plastic pouch and I put my id, insurance card and Key to Kingdom in it. My husband left his wallet in the safe at the room and did the same. Our cell phones fit in our pockets and so did my point and shoot. This year I don't have a point and shoot so will have a backpack to keep the camera in when I get tired of carrying it around my neck. but otherwise it will be our lanyards. Easy Peasy!

My diaper bag is often compared to Mary Poppins, my husband claims we could survive on a island for months with the contents. I do a major clean out for any trip. At WDW we use DH's old college LLBean Backpack, fits rain gear, diaper change, camea, my small makeup bag and our water bottle, sunscreen and sanatizer.
As for Disney or any trip I clean out my wallet to ID, cash and CC card. A debit card is hidden in our car with insurace cards, we have six one for each of us, so I dont like to keep them in my wallet while traveling. DH carries about the same in his wallet but this trip we aren't on property so we will have our WDW Gift cards.

I, too, have a special smaller wallet and backpack just for Disney trips. I carry very little, cell phone, KTTW, ID, credit card, a little cash, a couple Band-Aids and some gum. I leave my insurance cards and extra cash in the room safe. I just recently bought a cute little wristlet from "31" that is red & white polka dotted so that may become my new Disney wallet.

Absolutely!! I have a very small wallet (Brighton - Bellisimo Heart Small Wallet) I use for traveling and only bring what I need. I aslo bring a small crossbody swing pack with just my necessities. Camera, little tube thing of iburophen, wallet, kleenex, pen and room for my sunglasses. That's it.

I use an iPhone case that has a compartment that fits one credit card, insurance card, and my driver's license. That's all I usually take. My wife has a wristlet that fits her phone, KTTWs (for all of us), driver's license, credit card, and a little cash.
