I guess the current trend is to replace the best of Tomorrowland huh. I'd watch my back TTA. You're probably next on the list.

No doubt it my mind TTA will get a Pixar update. Could it be possible Tomorrowland IS being "phased out" at WDW since in a way there is already a "Tomorrowland" at Epcot? Maybe the "Discoveryland" moniker will be heading for the MK rather than Epcot in the end. I truly would not mind this possibility. :D

So true...
I couldn't have said it any better...

Ugh...this went from being a thread discussing a change I could see as marginally good (for cohesion's sake, putting in a Pixar "how it's done" in place of Narnia is an okay idea) to one on a topic that really scares me (the destruction of Tomorrowland). If only I could travel back in time to the days of my youth when Alien Encounter was the hot new attraction...

And Animal Kingdom is the Adventureland concept expanded to the nth degree. I wouldn't actually mind exporting Jungle Cruise and (the original) Tiki Room to AK, and trying something new and different.

I was thinking the same thing! They would then have space for an Indiana Jones ride at the MK or something else. AK needs some more indoor rides and attractions that guests can do in the evenings that won't disturb the animals. Disney should hire us.

Actually a showcase would be really cool. Think of something like they use to have on EPCOT with the imageneers and the Aladdin Attraction (that was way cool) it can be sponsored by I don't know Apple maybe... (JOKE) Hey it could even be a much bigger attraction since most of Wall-e is sound effects... And at the end it can have a Meet and greet.

But then thats just me.

Just a thought, but "if" this is true, maybe Narnia won't be coming back. Maybe they'll put some kind of promotional attraction for Wall-E in that space instead.

I've heard from a knowledgable friend that Narnia's closed in order to update the film, etc., for Caspian, which makes sense. But ya never know...

And then just consolidate Tomorrowland into a Sci-Fi pavilion at Epcot, implement a Future World Peoplemover and do something else in Tomorrowland's space too. Just get rid of half the Magic Kingdom and bring some freshness in. :D

Tell me... how many rides were actually there in tomorrowland..

How many Pixar rides are inserted...

How many Disney rides are left... just a couple...

Tomorrowland is Pixarizing, wether you like or not...

Tomorrowland - Non-Pixar:
Indy Speedway
Space Mountain
TTA
Stitch
Carousel of Progress
Astro Orbiter

Tomorrowland - Pixar:
Buzz Lightyear
Monster's Inc

If I'm not mistaken, Tomorrowland is now only 25% Pixarized, to argue against your 60% figure. :p

Thats exactly what I was thinking. What math was used to come up with 60% I think with Pixar spread out at all 4 parks people confuse things a bit.

In 30 years you will sit down in front of the fireplace and say to your grand children...
Once upon a time there was a wonderful theme park in Orlando...
Long before Pixarland it was called Walt Disney World.

And your grand children will wonder, and ask you Grand dad?... What 's Disney???

You will sigh and cry... and stare at the dancing flames in the fireplace...

oh calm down. Pixar is not going to take over disney. It is a big part of it, yes but look at it. Next to pixar, things like the Princesses are still big things. Disney will never be 100% Pixar. After movies like Enchanted, Disney has started to take the steps in the right direction to back where it is supposed to be.

Also, nothing is wrong with Disney using the sucesses of the Pixar movies to get people to come to the parks. I was dissapointed when i heard the Living Seas ride would be The Seas with Nemo and friends but for kids, this is getting them to ride a ride that before they really had no interest in going on before. And in case you forgot, Pixar was already in Tomorrowland, Buzz Light Years' Space Ranger Spin. A Wall-E going around collecting garbage or even an entire ride based on him would be awsome.

So just take a moment and relax. Besides, without pixar we might get another "The Wild" or "Chicken Little"

Once Disney gets there animation studio back online pumping out the hits again Pixars CGI buddy flick popularity will wane (unless they do something radically different).

I mean when I was growing up only a few years ago Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, and Ahh! real monsters were some of the most popular cartoons ever and now adays noone even knows what those shows are. As shocking as it may sound, pixar will loose relevance when something better comes about just like Disney lost relevance with the public after Lion King.
