Does anyone know how long it would take to walk from DHS to Epcot? This would of course mean by going from DHS through the Resorts and to Epcot.

Thanks :).

About 20 minutes. No need to actually walk into any of the resorts...but you will be going around the lagoon by the Boardwalk, the Dolphin, and the Yacht and Beach Club.

and Walking is faster than taking the boats.

It is much faster.

My wife waited tables at the Yatch Club and her folks were visiting. They took the boat and we walk, picked up her paycheck, and checked her schedule and still beat them to DHS.

I would definitely allow for more than 20 minutes. I would say about 40.

Perhaps 40 minutes if you stroll at a slow pace... I'd say 20-25 minutes for most people who aren't rushing, but aren't strolling along, either.

The shortest route is to leave the Studios, walk along the canal until you get to the Boardwalk pool area. Cut through the pool area to the main boardwalk, turn right and walk until you get to Epcot. This route is about 1.1 miles gate-to-gate.

Let me tell you last December we went to DHS and after a day didn't want to wait for the long line at the boat and it took forever, my DW called it the walk from H??? I would suggest waiting for the boats as it is a long walk.

you forget to mention that the line for the Friendship boats tend to get VERY long at the DHS dock...sometimes you end up waiting 2 or 3 boats which could easily lead to 40-45 minutes of just waiting at the dock...

It's barely over a mile back over to Epcot...and a normal walking pace is 3.5 to 4 mph...meaning about 15-25 minutes to get from DHS to International Gateway.

I wouldn't really call that a "normal" walking pace. Turn up your treadmill to 4.0. That's a VERY brisk pace and you would certainly break a sweat even in Winter.

I've been able to walk from the Studios to Epcot in a half hour and still have time to enjoy the scenery a bit. There is no question that it's faster than the boat, though.

ok...3.0-3.5

that's still about 20-25 minutes since you're walking about 3/4 of a mile every 15 minutes at 3mph... :)

but yes...always faster than the boat...

And don't forget to count in the stops at the Swan/ Dolphin, Beach /Yacht Clubs, and the Boardwalk between.

If you're really tired and can't do the walk all the way. Take the boat to the Swan/ Dolphin and then walk from there to Epcot. It really is faster than making all the "stops".

We've walked from Epcot to the Swan and vise versa and the walk is long enough...never mind walking from Epcot to MGM!

Although the wait for the boats may not be the most fun or quick at times, I'd say it's worth it after walking all day in the parks.

You can probably walk and it will take the same amount of time as taking the boat as it stops 4,934,284,118,345 times along the way. However it is nice to sit, rest, and be on the water for a little bit.

Even if there's a boat at the docks, it's still faster to walk at a normal pace.

If I'm heading from one to the other (though it seems to almost always be Studios-to-Epcot, for some reason), and I'm not in a hurry, I'll stop and take the boat if it's at the dock or is at least within sight on its way to the dock.

If the next boat isn't even within sight, I just walk.
