Vlogger Detained At Security Check

On the other hand, why would you take so much expensive equipment to a theme park...?
I don't know anything about this guy or this situation (though the whole thing seems like typical internet drama for clicks) but I will say many people bring a lot of expensive equipment to theme parks all the time. My primary DSLR lens is about $1,000 and some professional camera bodies can be $4k+ easily. A lot of people who enjoy photography invest in expensive equipment and if you have it, you bring it because that's the whole point. Again, no specific comment on this guy or this specific situation, just saying expensive equipment at Disney is pretty common.

It is. It's sad. But when you have millions of followers who enable your behavior ... it goes to the head. Social media is really really dangerous.

In all my vlog watching and youtube perusing, I've never heard of this person. LOL if he thinks he's famous.

Yeah, I have no idea who this person is, but there definitely are YouTube/social media celebrities. Like you said, some of them have millions of followers watching their videos and hanging on their every word, so they actually reach a wider audience than a lot of the popular network TV shows. Most of the viewers for "celebrity" YouTube channels are generally teenagers (or younger), so I think a lot of us adults write them off as just kids playing on the internet.

I shot RoE one night with a friend. He had 20 grands worth of lenses with him.

But back to the OP. Last thing you should do is pull the "don’t you know who I am?" line.

Reminds me of the photographer who was taking pictures with a very expensive lens at a hockey game I attended a few years back. Had the lens in a camera hole, the puck was shot around the boards.... next thing you know, there are pieces of shattered lens on the ice. If he did have expensive equipment in his bag, why not just say so to begin with?

Cliffix? I seem to remember them saying one of their lenses was $8k!

While I love your (regular) RoE video, I must say his might have you beat in raw quality (please, please, please don't take this the wrong way!). 4k, multi angle is very tough to beat especially when it clearly beats 1080.

Not sure what to think about this guys individual situation.

But i do know i HATE when places try to make you go ahead and go through the metal detector causing you to take your eyes off your bag and other valuables

Ideally I like to watch them search it then go through the detector.

It definitely always worries me that things will go missing with the way you have to put your phones and sometimes wallets in those little baskets.

I've gone through Epcot security many times. You put the bag on the table that is right next to the metal detector. I never lost sight of my stuff. You hold on to your stuff right up until you go through and then grab it right after. Maybe if he was watching his stuff instead of hamming it up for the camera, this would not have happened.
