It was absolutely wonderful at Universal not having to wear a mask at all! Even when you're indoors you don't have to wear one.

It's definitely better at Disney than earlier this year when the CMs were all over you if your mask one millimeter below the tip.of your nose but there are still a few that seem drunk on the power.

I was walking into the restroom in Galaxys Edge and before I I entered, a CM said in an extremely passive aggressive fashion, "you need to put your mask on" as he flicked his finger at the mask sign. I wasn't even in the restroom yet. Just walking towards it.

Upon arriving at Pop Century at 3:30 am, security checked my ID. Seeing we were from Louisiana, the officer asked how we were holding up and asked if the house was prepped for the storm.
Fast forward a couple of days. Our hometown got wrecked. It was a couple of days before I could contact my wife and she said she was leaving to go stay with family in another part of the state and that I should extend our stay at Pop. I did so and went to the front desk only to see if it were possible to remain in our room so I wouldn’t have to lug all of our stuff to another room.
The cast member was amazing. We got to talking and asked the kids if they were having a good time. I explained that we evacuated and I wasn’t even sure what my job status was, so park passes we not in the budget. She stepped away, and when she came back she had put two park passes on our room key cards. Free of charge.
I started crying in the lobby and if Covid wasn’t a thing I’d have hugged her.
That’s why Walt Disney World remain home for us.

Man, you guys are making me weeeep this morning! This is so amazing and just the reason I continue to go back. Pixie dust in even the smallest amount means so much!

Well I haven’t been on these TR for absolutely ages but popped in and spotted this and even better you are there now! Reading all 7 pages together has bought a smile to my face. Sounds like you had a lot of fun at Universal - Their Harry Potter rides etc are awesome.
Also love your analogy of Disney (I nearly teared up!)
With travel opening (finally) for us UK folk I can’t wait to get back. It’s been over 2 years and has been tough but there is now light at the end of the tunnel.
loving all the pics so keep em coming (wondering if the phone will make an appearance) lol

We left Balloon Knot Kingdom and headed back to the room to freshen up before lunch. It was raining so I bought an umbrella.

Being the immature grown men that we are, L and I had to compare umbrella sizes. His had more gurth but I had more length. His nickname is soda can and I'm Pringles can.

We worked up quite an appetite during our battle and we headed out to The Springs.

@sheriffwoody hasnt stopped bugging me to go eat at her favorite place and post pics. It's her favorite place on property. More than Karmell-Kuche. It's a must do for her! I obliged and we made a Disney Dining Reservation at the one and only....

It was a very rainy day and it continued into the evening. Once it subsided, we made a break for HS. C was pooped and stayed back at the room while L, E and I went to the park.

We rode Slinky Dog Dash after imbibing. I was paired up with a random person since I was a third wheel. My riding buddy wound up being pretty cool.
