We had ridden Everest before our advanced Disney dining reservation at Yak and Yeti.

We had ridden Everest again and I had put my sunglasses to hang on my shirt. But as we went backwards on the first drop, they fell out! I told C when the train stopped and the track was switching. The below picture was me trying to explain that I was pretty sure they were down by our feet, and she was telling me "I told you they would fall out", which she actually had, lol. Thanks photopass for capturing the moment.

My glasses were safe and laying on the floor of our cart.

Have yall had any of the beers from CityWorks? I'm hoping to stop by during my trip in December and try one of the several I'm interested in.

@sheriffwoody hasnt stopped bugging me to go eat at her favorite place and post pics. It's her favorite place on property. More than Karmell-Kuche. It's a must do for her! I obliged and we made a Disney Dining Reservation at the one and only....

Art Smiths Homecomin'!

Drinks to start.

We had an afternoon break back at the room. Having a Boardwalk view is so much fun for us. Just hanging out and listening to the music they play is awesome. Being there with friends makes it even better.

20211027_165622.jpg

After a long break and freshening up, we went to HS. There was a wedding and we saw this bad boy cruise by.

20211027_181922.jpg

We rode TSMM. C had a big lead on me but I caught at the Spaceship scene. She was not happy. She thought she would.finally win, but alas
20211027_203232.jpg

We hit Baseline Taphouse as usual and got some drinks. I think. Can't remember. I'm sure we did. Maybe. Did we, @harleebug ?

I know we rode Slink Dog Dash tho!

Pretty sure we rode ToT, but again, I can't remember. Paging, @harleebug . Did we? I don't have a photopass for it. But I thought we did.

I do know that I went to Big River Brewery for a burger when we left.

We woke up early for extra hours at MK. This was day that the big storm was coming through. @Darstarr had messaged me to warn us, because she knows that I wouldn't have a clue. And she was right. I didn't know. Thanks D!!

20211028_072919.jpg

The plan was to hit MK early, get a few rides in and then head over to Walt Disney Worlds Contemporary Resort for an Advanced Dining Reservation at Steakhouse 71 located at Walt Disney Worlds Contemporary Resort.

I had purchased a new magic band. I already lost the DVC thing that snaps into the band.

Time for Seven Dwarves Mine Train. @harleebug 's hair was the star of the photo. L went with jazz hands, lol.

767044628_HIGH.jpg

We also rode Peter Pan.

20211028_084209.jpg

Wait times weren't bad and we hit several rides but never got out photo pass pics. It was pretty frustrating throughout the trip. About 30% came through.

The rain came down eventually and we hit The Emporium for some shopping the off to Walt Disney Worlds Contemporary Resort.

We got some pictures out front. Check out this lady who really thought lazily leaning over 2 degrees would help not be in the photo, lol

Then we caught the monorail to
Walt Disney Worlds Contemporary Resort.

We went to Steakhouse 71 for lunch. We were all curious to see if it would live up to the hype.

BLT is @harleebug and her DH hubby wubby and kiddos littles favorite resort so they were stoked to be home, or close to it.

We ordered the onion rings, crab cakes and French onion soup for appetizers.

All were good. Well, C and I don't eat crab so we didn't try the crab cakes but L and E said they were good. Gross, lol, jk. No, gross. Crabs are ocean spiders.

We ordered the stack burger, club sandwich, gourmet grilled cheese ans the cod sandwich.

We all decided the burger was the best. I really liked the grilled cheese and would get it again.

Overall, it was good experience. We will definitely go back. I'm not sure if it's as amazing as some have made it out to be. But the food was good. No complaints. If I could choose the old Crews Cup menu or this....I'm taking Crews Cup every time. But I'll get to that soon enough.

So, just to clarify, you went to a steak house and ordered a grilled cheese? And then claimed it was just ok. Is anyone else seeing this???

Love your rant @wdisney9000. I haven’t shared this on the forums but here goes. In August my two kids and I fled New Orleans ahead of Hurricane Ida. The usual 9 hour drive took 18 because of the evacuation traffic. My wife stayed behind to care for her father and Uncle who refused to evacuate.
Upon arriving at Pop Century at 3:30 am, security checked my ID. Seeing we were from Louisiana, the officer asked how we were holding up and asked if the house was prepped for the storm.
Fast forward a couple of days. Our hometown got wrecked. It was a couple of days before I could contact my wife and she said she was leaving to go stay with family in another part of the state and that I should extend our stay at Pop. I did so and went to the front desk only to see if it were possible to remain in our room so I wouldn’t have to lug all of our stuff to another room.
The cast member was amazing. We got to talking and asked the kids if they were having a good time. I explained that we evacuated and I wasn’t even sure what my job status was, so park passes we not in the budget. She stepped away, and when she came back she had put two park passes on our room key cards. Free of charge.
I started crying in the lobby and if Covid wasn’t a thing I’d have hugged her.
That’s why Walt Disney World remain home for us.
That's amazing! I'm in Louisiana too and we rode out the storm. Ida was a beast and never again will I stay to ride out one like that again. I wish you all the best.
