Villains Unleashed 2015?

My bad - I was thinking it was at MK for some reason... So they could just use a soundstage or an unused building and convert it into this for the event. DHS has a few (or a couple) vacant sound stages, I think? Modular walls, overlays, lighting, signage.

They *COULD* if they hadn't turned a soundstage into a 3rd track for TSMM.

Since they're already selling Halloween and Christmas party tickets, I think it's safe to say that if there were beinging this event back, we'd known by now.

That could still change, but has there even been a rumour from anyone of it returning this August/Fall?

Not entirely villains unleashed wasnt announced at the same time as everything else I believe it was announced end of July beginning of August

Isn't there more than one? There has to be an unused building around there somewhere... Or put up a temp building.

I'm trying to remember which ones they have left right now. They've repurposed many and a few more are slated to go in whatever they're doing in the future....

However. You could probably use playhouse Disney to do thwart you're suggesting.

The Playhouse was used for the Guardians meet and greet (the ultimate cluster-F of the event).

I would love to see this even return (even if $80 was a bit much), but still find it unlikely due to the current state of DHS. If it DOES return, I see it becoming a lot more tame than the previous, which is incredibly disappointing and would sway me far away from it, as if I want a toned down halloween type party, id do MNSSHP. Let the big kids have fun!

What a hot mess.

Couldn't they turnover Fairy Tale Hall with a quick overlay/lighting effects and have it be "taken over by the villains" and call it "Scary Tale Hall" (credit @DaBears81 for that name idea), for M&G during Villians Unleashed?

Don't they have 4-6 rooms in there where guests don't cross paths so they can have 2 of the same in-demand characters in different rooms at the same time so guests get a chance to meet at least one or two Villians in a M&G? Seriously, some mood music, clever lighting and some topical overlay/signage to put up between the day/night event wouldn't be that hard or expensive - would it?

Either you:

1. Sell a hard ticket and deliver (like Mickey's NNS Halloween or Christmas)

2. Learn from your mistakes and deliver a better event the next year

or

3. You don't do it at all.

From the descriptions of last year's event, I don't get how they can put something out so watered down and cheap and try to up charge for schmutz.
They called it scary tale hall at the 24 hour party...

The most most in demand characters are going to be the ones they only have one costume for...so they can't even do b2b let alone multiple rooms

Ive heard that a lot. I'm hearing that the vocal complaints were the minority.... of course some of those complainers were the blog-o-sphere and their followers ran with it.

I wasn't there; i had no intention to spend $80 for that.

I was one of the vocal complainers (big surprise to regular readers) but I paid the 160 bucks for two of us hoping to see the rarer villians I was hoping for a more DL theme where the characters roamed and I did not expect the MASSIVE crowd - that event should have been capped at about half of what it was.

You can see just how locked into the fixed M&G model WDW is by this event. Since it was at DHS I was thinking the Villians would me more on the order of 'Citizens of Hollywood' which would have given guests a better chance at seeing all the characters.

This event was simply a hot mess.

PS
Did NOT ask for a refund - you pays your money you takes your choice, Though on reflection perhaps I should have.

That's too bad? Who are the most in-demand? I'm guessing Tremaines, Cruella, Gaston, Malificent?

Why do people prefer roaming characters? When they are roaming they do not stop, in my experience. So you get to see them walk by...which you can also do when they are stationed in an outdoor location for photos. Or is it that they think THEY will be the visitor who stumbles across some character NO ONE ELSE NOTICED and get some unfettered interaction? I guess that's possible, but more likely that you would never see them at all and/or waste all your time wandering around hoping to catch them.

And yes, I have been to Disneyland, where the few "roaming" characters I saw did not stop. People trailed behind them like children (or rats) after the Pied Piper.

I think Disney needs to create a meet-and-greet based on its Villains. A permanent one, and a ride/attraction to go with it.

If there's no room in Fantasyland, then Disney could create a ride called "Disney's Movie Villains" and put it in DHS.

Since i was little my Disney faves were never the princesses, they were ALWAYS the villains!!! It would be nice if the Villains were all a little more consistantly present in the Park, Esp. Magic Kingdom...i do like the idea of Scarytale Hall...

Actually, a lot were roaming characters for the villains event. And they would stop for pictures...just no autographs.

I do recall an old concept for a re-do of the great movie ride that revolved around villains. Not sure how much traction it got.

Remove the Speedway and put in a Villains area.

They should just do fall "villian weekends" at DHS. Same as frozen, have a parade during the day and fireworks at night along with meet and greets and dance parties and shows. Have the ultra rare villians be tier 1 FP+. That way everyone knows if they can see their favorite villian or not. Then they could up charge for the inevitable dessert party.

And for star wars weekend when they do have roaming characters trying to get a picture is next to impossible unless you dont care abouy shoving a small child out of your way... a line is so mugh better
